About this property
Stockley's Saltbox
Summary:
This charming 4-bedroom saltbox home makes the perfect home base from which to explore beautiful Twillingate. Located in the heart of town, this sweet home is perched on a hill overlooking Twillingate Harbour. You'll be a short walk to a few local restaurants and a longer walk (i.e. 20 minutes) or short drive to all that Twillingate has to offer. As is common with some older saltboxes, this home has low ceilings on the upper level (6 feet)
The Space:
You'll enter the home from the back porch, which is common in outport NL. From there you'll enter a hallway that leads to the eat-in kitchen. Also on the main floor you'll find a comfy sitting area, a laundry room and a full bathroom. The home has 4-bedrooms on the 2nd floor. There are two rooms facing the water, one with a queen bed, and the other with a double bed. The other two bedrooms are in the back of the home, each with a single bed. As is common with old saltbox houses, the ceilings on the 2nd floor are a tad low so you may need to duck going through doorways. There is parking in front of the home, but only space for one vehicle.
Guest Access:
The entire home is yours to enjoy.
The Neighborhood:
Stockley's Saltbox home is located on Twillingate's south island, with views of Twillingate's harbour and a short walking distance to a few neighbourhood restaurants. The centre of town is approximately a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive.
Getting Around:
Driving is the most typical way that visitors explore Twillingate and area. That said, it is a walker/hikers dream. Whether you prefer the road or the trails, there is so much to explore. Just steps from Stockley's Saltbox, you can walk to beautiful beaches, search for root cellars and even spot icebergs out at sea. The home is up a fairly steep hill. If you do plan on walking, this is something to keep in mind.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Hopefully we can host you again sometime!
Loved staying here. It is such a cozy spot, perfect for my family of 5 to spend a few nights exploring the area. I really like how each of my kids was able to have their own room. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. The host thought of everything - from shelving/ hooks to hang clothes, to the guide book ( which has everything you need to know about the area), to the decor- everything just made sense. If we ever come back to Twillingate we will definitely be booking this place again.

This property had an adorably decorated and homey feel. A gorgeous view, and all the needed amenities. The ceilings were a bit low, but we didn’t mind at all. Overall very nice and comfortable place to stay
Enjoyed this property during our stay in Twillingate Nl - it was in a great location with a few great restaurants close by. Lots of locals things to see and do and as a photographer, SO MUCH to capture.
thank you
I will return again, next summer.
We had a lovely time visiting Newfoundland and this was our favourite stop on our road trip. The house was so cute and cozy and we enjoyed our time there very much
