Great location for a ski trip. This house is 5-7 mins from skyship lodge at killington and only 20 or so from K1 and the main restaurant areas at killington and close to Woodstock too. Peaceful and private. It’s a bit of a DIY vacation- there were plenty of clean and warm linens and beds were comfortable but the cleanliness of the place was college apartment level. Grimy corners, dirty vents pots and pans thrown in the cabinets No cleaning supplies to speak of except half a bottle of windex a broom and one roll of paper towels and a basic vacasa welcome package. No coffee or other basic niceties we are used to in other rental homes. Good if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time inside.
We were very, very satisfied with the apartment, the location, the facilities, etc. really wonderful

Amazing stay!
Beautiful home, in a great location, complete with babbling brook and river. As they are dog friendly, they provide dog beds and bowls which was a great added bonus. There were so many extra amenities and appliances that many places don’t offer. The entire home was very clean and decorated beautifully. We will be sure to come back!
House is adequately stocked with linens, kitchen equipment, and seating. Beds are in decent shape and it looks like windows were recently updated. One note, the house is forced air heating, and some of the bedrooms get much warmer than others or vice versa. A nice clean house, with everything you need.

Excellent accommodations
Location, Location, Location!
About as close as you can get to Skyeship lift/lodge @ Killington. We were very happy with our stay at Valkyrie Run. The house was very cozy with excellent heat and comfortable beds. Accommodated our large party with room to spare!
The stream running through the property is a huge plus. Very peaceful and tranquil.
We will return. Thank you for a great time! Highly recommended.

Great House - need better snow removal
House was great. Updated and well put together. Bedrooms were very comfortable and there was so much room!
There was no snow removal done so it was like an ice luge coming down the stairs to the driveway. They did send someone on the second night, but they should have had this sorted much before we arrived.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay, George! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you arrived to a snow-filled driveway. While the main roads are plowed during a storm, the private homes are not. Our housekeeping staff does their best to try to clear a path to the home when time allows. Thank you for letting us know there is room for improvement and we hope we have the opportunity to host you for a more comfortable stay.
The property is beautiful, and the location was perfect! The house has been recently renovated, but housekeeping was subpar. The kitchen was the worst - dishes were not clean, and many had food residue that we had to wash off before using. Some of the cabinets were dirty, and we even found mouse droppings below the sink. The fridge was not cleaned. Generally, the flooring all over the house was not clean, and there were a lot of dead bugs in the corners. Last night, while we stayed up late playing games, we saw a mouse in the kitchen!!! We spent a considerable amount of time cleaning the kitchen when we arrived and making sure the food was secure and safe!!Bathrooms were clean, towels and sheets were clean and comfortable. Though one of the bunk beds creaked so much, it was hard to get a restful sleep. However, the backyard, deck, and fire pit were perfect for a quiet family weekend. We enjoyed the brook in the backyard and even tried to hike up the brook for some distance. Our dog enjoyed the space, and we appreciate the host providing dog beds and bowls for him.The property is beautiful and would make a wonderful stay if the house were maintained better, kept clean, and pest-free.
While the house, property, and proximity to the mountains is desirable, the experience at the residence and with VACASA was the worst rental experience I’ve had. It began with a text message at 3:47pm on Sunday 2/16, during a snow storm, that due to the weather the house would not be cleaned and ready for our check in at 4pm leaving us sitting in the driveway with our children for nearly 2 hours. Once in the house while we were settling in and organizing bedrooms we learned that the “1/2 bath” indicated in the listing was completely gutted and under renovation. There were hammers, wrenches, nails, screws, debris all over the floor, holes in the wall exposing pipes and wires, and the toilet and sink unattached on the floor. This was especially distressing since we had children in the home ages 3-10 that could confuse the “1/2 bath” with another room and be injured. While we were refunded a portion of our rental fees this was not the last of the issues in the home. After a day of skiing and sledding we needed to do laundry and dry wet clothes. It was then we discovered that there washer and dryer was not hooked up. The plumbing for the washer was not connected and the dryer was not vented. As a result, we were unable to wash our dirty, sweaty clothes or dry our clothes for the duration of the trip. We also were unable to wash our bath towels. The property management team ignored requests for additional refund and have yet to respond or resolve the issues we experienced.
