We loved the property and walking down to the water or sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning. It is quite a few stairs, but beautiful and worth it. The location was perfect for entrance into the park. Joan thought of everything and if we come to GNP again we will be back.

The cabin was a perfect log cabin theme. Joan had everything we needed and more. We were close to the entrance to the park and activities. My husband relaxed in the hot tub everyday and had complete privacy and a view of the river. We loved it.

Amazing

We went a few days earlier than our reservation. It the cabin was booked so we ended up staying in her other unit but did tour this cabin as it is on the same property. It is so adorable. Joan was an amazing Hostess and was very attentive to our needs and requests. She provided extra special touches like granola, coffee and creamer. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub enjoying the view of the river. Breathtaking. We enjoyed everything about our stay there.

Nice, clean cabin. Perfect for two. The bed is in the loft, which requires climbing the wooden ladder. Not impossible but something to consider if there are mobility issues. We loved the proximity to Glacier and Whitefish, well-equipped kitchen, kind hosts who were very responsive and provided great local recommendations, and the complimentary coffee and creamer! Unfortunately, the cabin is not actually on the river and it is a very, very steep walk to get there if you walk behind the main house. The hot tub is also at the main house; and it felt a bit awkward to utilize since it did require sitting in the main home's backyard and getting prior approval. This did not negatively impact our stay though, and we would stay again if we had the opportunity.

Perfect Access to Glacier NP

This property was perfect for our hiking trip to Glacier NP. It is located about 7-8 minutes from the West Glacier entrance and its very easy to beat the crowd coming from Kalispell. There is train noise but the horns are short lived and we slept through most of them. Joan had the cabin stocked very well and it was a nice comfortable place to unwind after long hiking days. Don't hesitate to book this property if looking to explore Glacier NP!

4 days in Glacier

Absolutely fabulous!! Everything was spotless, so clean, comfortable bed and everything you needed was provided. We felt so comfortable there, it was like coming home after a full day of work. Joan was fabulous-she responded to all questions, checked on us and made sure we felt comfortable. All products from kitchen to bath to dishes are high end . You can tell she made a great effort to think of everything! Even later on our vacation at another VRBO location we were wishing we could have been at The Little Cabin. Thank you Joan for a wonderful stay!!

Adorable Cabin. Close to Glacier NP West Entrance.

This cute little cabin was perfect for the two of us. It was very clean and cutely decorated. You can walk out back by the main house and sit to enjoy the view of the Flathead River. We did have an issue with no hot water for a day, but the host got her handyman on it quickly. The only other issue was the RR tracks are not far from the front of the cabin. Seven trains came through the first night, so we didn't get much sleep. no hot waterno

What a cozy, wonderful cabin! Our goal was to relax and enjoy the area in the Fall, when Glacier Park isn't crowded but is putting on her Autumn show. We weren't disappointed! We walked the Trail of the Cedars and it was so peaceful and beautiful. As we stood on the shore of Lake McDonald at Apgar, the clouds parted and a full rainbow appeared over the lake. It was magical! As for the cabin, Joanne has thought of everything you might need, from soft sheets to fluffy towels, goat milk body wash and shampoo, s'mores fixings and York peppermint patties. Even though it rained and was cool, we had the fire going and were snug as a bug. We loved the nostalgia of the trains passing through, especially at night. We sat up in bed in the dark, watching the RR Crossing lights turn on and listening to the whistle blow. We made breakfast every morning in the well-appointed kitchen. Our entire stay was peaceful and perfect, and we hope to return next Fall!

This is such a cute little place to stay. I loved it. It is away from the main road, but close enough to get what you need quickly. The owner is very kind and respectful. I was able to see deer in the yard and elk from a distance. I will definitely be going back again. The weather was perfect. It snowed one day of my stay. Beautiful!!

The cabin was ideal. We enjoyed beverages on the deck overlooking the river, so peaceful. Grilling our meals while watching deer in the neighbor’s yard. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you need to cook-we never ate out. If ever visiting GNP again this cabin will be our 1st choice.

We love living in Montana right on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. We love the out of doors. There is so much to do, white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, fishing, zip lining, and ropes course, so many beautiful hikes, seeing the variety of animals, eagles, bears, mountain goats, big- horn sheep, marmot's and so much more, just keep your eyes open and be bear aware! Many great restaurants, skiing, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing in the winter months, Its never a dull moment in Montana!

Why they chose this property

The beauty of this property is that we are right on a wild and scenic river, in Montana, a short distance to Glacier National Part and all of its glory. I love sitting on our deck and ponder the day and watch the river go by. Many only dream of living on a wild and scenic river in Montana.
I fled the hustle and bustle of the city to live in the serenity of the mountains and to enjoy the out-of-doors at its finest.

What makes this property unique

One little cabin is on private property, with your own private viewing deck of the river.
