Trip with family for twice in a lifetime ( 2017 and 2024 ) eclipse view in totality!
Our host Tina and her husband Gary sacrificed quite a lot to make this trip happen for me and my family. Long story short, it was perfect. The weather was perfect and we witnessed the most perfect total eclipse IN THE LINE OF TOTALITY!! We sat in Tina and Gary’s back pasture near a pond. It’s crazy, the day before it rained, then eclipse day woke up sunny and stayed that way till later that night. Since after the eclipse it’s been April showers bring May flowers since!! I believe everything about our trip was meant to be when it first seemed it wasn’t meant to be! Our rental was nice and clean, had everything we needed to cook. Very spacious and warm. Easy to relax in! Check in and out was all easy. I know my grandkids enjoyed the large back yard space to explore. We wished we had fished!! Thanks again for a great time !perfect in every way!
The LeBlanc family!
Visiting family for Thanksgiving at nearby Lake Egypt. We stayed here with our son and his new wife and our pup. It was very clean and roomy. Woke up to several deer in the yard, and the pup loved exploring the pond in the back. The owner (Tina) was super nice, easy to work with, and very prompt in replying. We get together 4 or 5 times a year at the lake house and will definitely be staying here again. The only drawback is the well water, so make sure you have plenty of bottled. (The owner did have several bottles of water in the frig)
