About this property

This is a large, sprawling waterfront home on Deans Pond. A short 4 house walk along a picturesque path to private Sandy Beach. Popponesset has private, deeded beaches that are not open to the public. This home was built and owned by one family and meticulously maintained over the years. A completely open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and lots of glass creates a contemporary oasis for the ultimate in vacation relaxation. Oversized bedrooms, lower-level family room with wet bar, walk out basement and outdoor shower. Tastefully decorated and extremely clean. There is a huge deck overlooking the lawn and freshwater pond. An ideal spot for dining and entertaining that is prettier than any restaurant you could visit. Enjoy dramatic morning sunrises and a "big sky" at night as you listen to the breaking waves over the beach embankment. Fish off the nearby footbridge or walk up to the Popponesset Marketplace for an ice cream, coffee, pizza or shopping. One of the shortest walks to the Popponesset Inn for a wedding, dinner and drinks. Drop into the Raw Bar for one of their famous lobster rolls. Bike throughout Popponesset or to the "Spit" beach, Poppy Community House or the New Seabury Marina. The Community House has daily organized activities for children, from baseball and basketball to arts and crafts, road races, bingo, and kid's square dances. There is even a children's playground. This is the ultimate vacation spot for walking or jogging with numerous paths in and around the village. Close to the New Seabury Country Club (private) There is something to do for everyone when it's not a beach day. You can enjoy shopping at the award-winning Mashpee Commons, an upscale New England lifestyle shopping center with great restaurants, popular retail stores and one-of-a-kind boutiques. Excellent property! very comfortable for 7 adults Just one suggestion : maybe a french press cafeteria will be ideal for coffee lovers.

Popponesset Beach House

This is a lovely home just a few minutes walk to an uncrowded beach and the Marketplace for meals and shopping. Lots of room to spread out on two floors, a well supplied kitchen, outdoor shower and a nice deck for lounging and dining all made for a relaxing time. Sunrise on the deck and the sun glistening on the pond was magical. Paul was quick to respond to my questions.

Best rental.

We where the first group to stay at the house. It was an amazing location. You could walk from the beach and to the marketplace. I fished right in the back yard. I would say the highlight of the property was the outdoor shower. Just take the kids down and hose them off. Made the transition from beach to dinner easy.
