Great location and beautiful property
We had an amazing time on our trip to the Big Island. Upon arriving our unit we were very pleased to see a well decorated, clean and spacious living space. It was perfect for the four of us to have our own space for the week and also place to gather. The master bedroom was beautiful with a very large bathroom, walk in closet large enough for all of our things and to serve as a changing room. The lanai off the master suite was lovely as well. The kitchen was nice and open. Beyond the unit, we loved the beach club. It was beautiful and the restaurant was great. The perfect balance between casual with great food! The view approaching the beach was spectacular. Also, there is a very nice grocery store on the property with everything you would need. That was a pleasant surprise!
The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. It would have been nice to have a flyer upon arriving that detailed everything for reference. With that said, all of our questions were answered quickly.
We loved the place and would highly recommend it. Can't wait to come back!!
Our family of 4 had a relaxing stay at this rental. The home was clean, had everything we needed for our stay, including beach gear, & was close to the beach, shops & restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach club. The water was calm, snorkeling was amazing, it wasn’t crowded & we had access to cabanas for our long beach days. Loved all there was to do on the Big Island! We highly recommend this rental & plan to return.
Many broken ammenities. Non responsive Owner
The home was beautiful. Very comfortable and well appointed, however our experience should have been much better.
Overall we were disappointed with so many “issues” we had that did not get resolved.
Ice maker and Fridge water not working. Owner had mentioned that it was shut off deliberately, however the unit was continually trying to make ice and made a loud grinding noise every 45 minutes. The microwave did not work. The toilet downstairs continually ran. The lights in the Master, only half of which worked, would come on in the middle of the night. We had no access to whatever timer they were on. Outdoor lights in the front entry not working making evening returns difficult in the dark. The BBQ had three tanks of propane so I figured we were good, until the first ran out. (It must have only been about an 8th full) Then when we tried to use the other tanks found them empty as well.
We reached out about the toilet and were told someone would come by. This never happened. We also reached out about the microwave and propane tanks and did not hear back.
Owner was quite accommodating upon our first contact with him about the toilet by responding quickly and assuring us someone would come out to fix it. Nobody ever came. We followed up again about the microwave and owner said the repair person for the toilet will look at that too. Nobody came. Our last communications to owner about the BBQ propane and to inquire why no repair person had come, were not responded to at all.
In good faith, we were not provided the services and amenities that we were offered and charged for and fully expect that to be addressed and remedied appropriately.
I am so glad to hear back from you! Sorry you did not follow the house rules as all our other guest have. Yes the ice maker in the refrigerator is not hooked up and is detailed in our instructions. We tell people so they will not turn on the ice function. Also thank you for identifying the microwave, it required a reset. The Toilet did not “continually run” but did require a new flapper, so thank you for pointing this out.
The home was left in a terrible state when you checked out, but we decided not to change an additional fee because of the Microwave and propane issues you had.
Clearly your expectation, would be better server in a Hotel and not a Townhome or Condominium. Recommend you think about this in the future, the price of a Townhome is much less and understand you are cheap, but a Hotel definitely would serve your expectation much better than a privately owned home. I recommend you be more respectful and take better care in any future accommodation you stay at!

Wow, where do I begin? This condo really exceeded expectations! We're a family of four with two young children (under 2 years old) and this place was perfect. We loved the proximity and convenience of the beach club, grocery store and the pool. The space is large and well stocked with everything our family needed for the full week (and then some). We spent so much time hanging out at the house because of naptimes and early evenings, so it was great to have a place like this. The space is clean and peaceful, I'm convinced our 2 month old baby slept better in this house than she ever has in our home. Mark is an EXCELLENT host--very responsive and helpful--who keeps his property in tip top shape. There were so many times my husband and I would say "I wonder if if this place has 'x'"-- like extra paper items, towels, pool toys, snorkle gear, sunscreen etc-- and this place always came through. We would definitely stay here again!
Fabulous Mauni Lani
We had a wonderful time in William's property. The unit was equipped with everything we needed, from beach gear to kitchen items. In addition, the unit was well maintained and in a great location. We would definitely stay in this unit again.
Private Beach Was a Huge Hit! Gorgeous Condo!
The private beach was the biggest draw and really makes a difference for one's Big Island stay. We used it every day and sometimes twice. Photos on Mauna Lani site don't do it justice. The pool was a nice space too.
The unit was spacious, super-clean, and well furnished. The Kitchen was great, and I've lived in apartments smaller than the bathroom attached to the master. The king size bed was more comfortable than the $3K Stearns & Foster mattress we have at home. We definitely plan to stay here again..
