The Dunes is a gated condo complex with deeded beach access in the quiet part of Fort Morgan & Gulf Shores. The beach access is limited to two condo complexes and a small pocket of homes. This offers longs stretches of beach to enjoy with lots of privacy. From the condo, it is a two to three minute walk to the beach. The complex also includes an indoor pool with a hot tub, outdoor pool, and exercise room.

Dunes #405 is a one-bedroom unit with two full bathrooms that also includes a bunk bed alcove. In addition, there is a new sleeper sofa in the living allowing for up to 6 guests. There is a fully functional kitchen with all of the appliances, cookware and utensils needed to meet your cooking needs. The televisions in the living room and bedroom are smart TVs with a Roku device that includes YouTube TV, NetFlix, Hulu and DisneyPlus programming. There is also high-speed internet in the unit.

The Dunes is located near the Fort Morgan historic site and the ferry stop to Dauphin Island. Also, nearby is the popular Tacky Jack’s restaurant, Fort Morgan Marina, and several great golf courses.

Rentals are available with a two-day minimum to weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or longer.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Dunes condo. The host responded immediately to a small issue. Great location. Very relaxing and quiet at that end of the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the crowds. The view from our unit was outstanding. The walk to the beach was not too far and the beach was not crowded at all.

The unit is so comfortable and the kids LOVED the bunk beds, they swore they were the most comfortable ever. The owner is helpful and prompt to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. The atmosphere here was great for my family to have a relaxing time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Dunes in Unit 405 and would give it 5/5 stars without hesitation. We stayed for 3 nights as a family of four and loved every minute of it.The condo was extremely clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. One of our favorite parts was enjoying the beautiful ocean view from the balcony—it made mornings and evenings especially relaxing. The beds were comfortable, and the amenities were great as well. The pool and hot tub were both very nice, and the beach was just an easy walk away, which made everything so convenient for our family.Brian was an excellent owner to work with—very helpful, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay.We truly felt comfortable and at home here and would absolutely come back and stay again. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing beach getaway!

We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the balcony was also a great feature, and we enjoyed having access to the pool and hot tub.Unfortunately, there were several issues that took away from the overall experience.Our stay started off on a frustrating note because the host had not updated the access code information for the condo. We were outside for about 15 minutes with our groceries while trying to get in. It took several phone calls, voicemails/messages, and eventually contacting VRBO support before we received a response from the host. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but I do feel that a host should be readily available around check-in time, especially to make sure guests are able to access the property without any issues.Once inside, we noticed several maintenance concerns. The washer/dryer door was off its hinge, and the sink in the guest bathroom drained extremely slowly. Later that evening, we realized the showers also had drainage issues. In the bedroom bathroom, there was no actual showerhead, just a spout, which was disappointing and inconvenient.The provided beach accessories could also use some attention. The beach chair and umbrella were broken and rusted, and the storage bin containing the beach items was also broken and rusted. If you’re planning to spend time on the beach, I would recommend bringing your own. With more attention to the guest experience and fix the maintenance issues, this could be a much better stay.

Our family of 4 loved this property. The beach was a very short walk, the pool was great to come back to, and the beds were comfortable! You are about a half hour down the island to most things but we didn’t mind for the beach convenience and calmness.

Nice place. Clean and fully stocked. Bed is super comfy. Pool and hot tub was great. Walk to the beach not bad at all. Tacky Jack's was delicious and very close. We enjoyed the fishing pier maybe a 3 minute drive by the Fort.

We live in the Nashville, TN area and plan to visit the property several times a year, but look forward to providing a great guest experience when not there. We have owned another property for several years in Bradenton, FL. We make ourselves available to our guests to make sure you have an enjoyable vacation/stay from the moment of booking to post departure.

Why they chose this property

The Dunes condo has all of the amenities you could ask for - indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, and a workout room. The walk to the beach is three to four minutes.

In addition, we take a lot of pride and make the effort in keeping our unit updated and clean.

What makes this property unique

This is arguably the quietest stretch of beach in the area. The deeded beach access is restricted to two condo buildings and about 35 private homes/rental units.
