Quiet Secluded House

House was very clean and owner was very friendly and accommodating. Communication with owner was seamless. House is located minutes from Grand Lake.

Family Fun in Colorado

The house was very nice and well suited for our family, the youngest of whom was 19 and the oldest....well we are senior citizens. The "kids" enjoyed the pool table and the dining table was used for puzzles. We ate at the bar....with evening meals mostly at local restaurants. Loved being so close to the park, where we went in the evenings. Only disappointment was that the pass from Grand Lake area to Estes Park closed on Monday, the day we planned on going. We did take other short trips though....and had a wonderful week of autumn in beautiful Colorado.

Friend and family weekend fun

Spent a couple of days enjoying Grand Lake with family and friends. Visited the town and enjoyed local activities like pontoon and pedal boat rentals, bingo, shopping, and taking in lots of good and beverage. Weather was a little sketchy so enjoyed spending time indoors playing pool, foosball, marbles, corn hole, and much more!

Great getaway

This was a great cabin, very spacious. Kids loved the game room and it was really close to downtown Grand Lake. Host was a great communicator. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying near the Grand Lake area.

Hosts Jessica and Nick love recreating and they think Grand County is one of the best places for year-round outdoor fun! Jessica hails from Wisconsin and Nick from Kansas, these midwest transplants met mountain biking and enjoy camping, biking, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, gardening and just about any other outdoor activity, especially in the dirt! They reside in Boulder with their two dogs and two sons. When not 9-5ing, they take any chance they can to enjoy the Colorado outdoors as a family!

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location! Hillside Recreation Haven is situated just off Hwy 34. Less than one mile from Shadow Mountain Lake access, 1.5 miles to hiking, biking and XC skiing at East Shore Trail and 3.5 miles from the West Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and just four miles from the Town of Grand Lake. Lake Granby is a couple miles south. Boating, canoe/kayaking, paddle boarding all just minutes from your door step.

While we tend to agree with the statement "there is no bad weather, just bad clothing choices", there is indoor fun to be had as well! When your day is done, continue the recreating with billiards or foosball or get a puzzle going while you converse with those cooking dinner. Cozy up to the gas fireplace and read a book or catch a movie in the living room. You'll enjoy access to a heated attached garage where you can park your vehicle or get a ping pong match going. You have the opportunity to make the most of your vacation at the Hillside Recreation Haven. We want you to have as much fun as we do in one of the best places; Grand County!
