This was my "Pre-Retirement Trip! It was a really nice place for our family of 8 adults and 2 grandchildren coming from the United States. With 5 bedrooms, each couple had their own bedroom & 1 for the grand kids to share. (some w/ extra beds!) Good open living and eating areas. The kitchen was small but workable. It was well equipped w/ pans, dishes, utensils & some staple food items were also present for usage. We, in turn, left some for the next renters! We were having difficulty getting replies to questions we had prior to arrival. The Host (landlord?) was very helpful. He then provided us w/ a direct way to contact him w/ questions & concerns. He was also able to provide us w/ a high speed blender necessary for our granddaughters feeding needs & sent a person to repair a broken doorknob while we were there & a 1st aid kit was brought (& used twice!! We did later find the original one but no bandaids were in that kit) With 10 people & 2 rental cars, we were often going in different directions. At our request he also supplied us w/ a back up key "just in case."This was our 1st ever trip & housing option of this kind. As a first timer, I didn't really know what to expect. A "Welcome" paper w/ info like "The garbage is collected on "X" days, the fireplace does not work, the 1st aid kit is in the kitchen drawer to the right of the sink"...could have been useful to have. Overall, we really enjoyed our trip, this house & would love to see more of Iceland in the future.
