The Stone House, the 140 years old showplace of 37 Gatewood properties, has been completely renovated. On site with Equestrian Adventures, you'll have some pretty majestic neighbors in the adjacent pasture. We are approximately 8 miles from the farthest outdoor center. Access to the fishing and kayaking at the famous New River is right down the street. All of of the biking and hiking trails are nearby. Golfing is just 3 minutes away. Annual Girls Trip

The house was very spacious, clean, and great location. The owner was very kind and informative. The wrap around porch was nice to sit on and take in the peacefulness. Within 15 minutes of multiple rafting places, stores, and restaurants. As well as hiking trails. Hot tub was very relaxing. We had 7 of us girls and had plenty of bed space. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to whitewater rafting.

The Stone House is a part of New River Gorge history, as it well over 100 years old.. It has been fully restored, yet maintains it historic charm. The Catawba trees in the yard are some of the oldest know trees of this variety in West Virginia, I am told.

What makes this property unique

The Stone House is conveniently located between Oak Hill and Fayetteville, WV and is on site with another #37 Gatewood property, Equestrian Adventures, You'll have the most majestic equine neighbors, totaling 25 in all currently. The ample lawn is a great space to have a picnic under the Catawba trees, have a bon fire, or sit on the porch, which spans almost three sides of the home.
