Boasting 650 sq. ft. of living space, the cottage features a cozy bedroom with a queen size bed, a living room with a comfortable hide-a-bed sofa, and a fully-appointed bathroom. Please note that the bathroom is off the bedroom and not the main living area, so if you plan on sharing the cottage with another couple, you may want to take that into consideration.

To ensure a hassle-free stay, we kindly request that you follow a few rules regarding the septic system. We want to avoid any costly damage that may arise from improper disposal of waste. Additionally, the cottage comes with a usable garage and a dedicated parking slip for your convenience.

Guest Access:
At our cottage, we want you to feel right at home. That's why guests have full access to all the amenities and spaces in the cottage, with just a few exceptions. Please note that three cabinets in the cottage's garage are locked and not accessible to guests.

As for the property boundaries, we want to ensure that you can explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without any worries. The east boundary is where the grass ends and the vineyard begins, while the southern boundary is marked by a partial fence. The western boundary is the large paved circle with the basketball hoop. As long as you stay within these boundaries, you can relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere without fear of trespassing on anyone's property.

So come and make yourself at home at our cottage. We can't wait to welcome you!

The Neighborhood:
Nestled on three acres of land that were once part of a 150-acre dairy farm, the cottage is a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in the Dungeness Valley, between the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the foothills of the Olympic Mountains, it sits on a private lane within a small, tranquil neighborhood. All neighboring properties boast between 3-16 acres of land, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere.

Adjacent to the cottage lies the original dairy farm, its outbuildings, and a vineyard, which although no longer operational, add to the picturesque and private setting. It's the perfect place to relax and create memories amidst the beautiful natural scenery of the Pacific Northwest.

The Cedars at Dungeness is a renowned local golf course situated less than a mile from our cottage. Best of all, it's open to the public, so everyone can enjoy the lush greens and scenic views. There are two full-service dining establishments on-site, so you can indulge in a scrumptious breakfast, lunch, or dinner all within a short walk or drive away. And if you're in the mood for a refreshing drink, the full-service bar offers a rotating list of craft beers and cocktails that are sure to hit the spot.

Getting Around:
Situated in the heart of the countryside, your car will be your trusty companion during your stay at our cottage. But don't worry, there's plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs and explore the charming downtown of Sequim on foot. Enjoy exploring the local shops and restaurants our quaint town has to offer.

For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, from mid Spring to early Fall, take a stroll through the nearby lavender farms, situated less than half a mile from the cottage. It's the perfect way to immerse yourself in the sights and scents of the surrounding countryside.

But if you're feeling more adventurous, why not hop on your bike and make your way to the Olympic Discovery Trail? The trailhead is conveniently located just 2.5 miles from the cottage. As a rails-to-trails path, it offers a scenic route that can take you all the way to Port Angeles in the west, or through downtown Sequim and out to the 7 Cedars Casino in the east.

For nature lovers, there's no shortage of picturesque walks to explore. Take a stroll through the stunning Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, which will lead you down to the Dungeness Spit and the breathtaking Strait of Juan de Fuca. Or why not head to the Railroad Bridge Park, which forms part of the Olympic Discovery Trail and provides a picturesque crossing over the Dungeness River? Finally, for a tranquil forest walk, make your way to Robin Hill Farm County Park and soak up the beauty of the surrounding woodland.

A Little Slice of Heaven
The Discovery Cottage was perfect for our family of three! The pictures truly don’t do it justice. Everything is so well-thought out. Every amenity that you could ask for…gas grill, fire pit for s’mores, string lights, super comfy bed, such charming decor, spices for cooking, the most beautiful lavender bush, and a spectacular view of the mountains! And one of my favorite things- everything was labeled! I loved that touch. We got to meet Allison, which was such a pleasure! We will definitely be back!!!!

This place has everything you could possibly hope for!
Beautiful, well-appointed, fully stocked, high quality furnishings, bedding, supplies. We’ve stayed a lot of places and have never seen a unit as nicely decorated and with so many extras. Board games, puzzles, s’mores kit, spices, coffee supplies, cooking supplies, toiletries, all labeled and organized. The outdoor area was lovely with space for bbqing, dining, fire pit. Sofa bed was comfortable. We can’t say enough! Great communication and recommendations for sightseeing and dining. This is a hidden gem!
