Enchanting Duplex | Ocean Views | 1 Block to Beach
Wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach and relish the fabulous perfect sunny weather and laid back attitude that Southern California is famous for. The beach is a few steps away and there are great restaurants within walking distance. The Strand sidewalk runs north and south for 26 miles along the beach. If you like to be active, you won't need a car.
Our cozy duplex was built in 1932 and has been continuously remodeled over the past two decades. There's hardwood and natural stone flooring throughout. The bathroom was designed after a trip to one of our favorite spas - it includes a cozy 2 person shower with dual shower heads and body jets.
As with the majority of houses in North Manhattan Beach, our home does not have air conditioning. If there is a heatwave in the summer, homes can get hot and we want everyone to be aware of this in advance. Every window has a screen and can be opened. There is a ceiling fan in the 1st bedroom and portable fans in the living room and 2nd bedroom for summer months.
There are 2 complementary parking spaces on the driveway in front of the house for this apartment.
Hit the beach with complementary beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach cooler and beach towels.
I am not available for a personal tour of the property during check in but am always available to answer any questions via email, text, or phone call. Please review the house manual and house rules before your arrival and remember to bring your entry instructions.
The apartment is located in a charming Los Angeles suburb called North Manhattan Beach. It is within walking distance to the ocean, local restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful despite the homes being located close together (as in all beach communities). The locals gather at the end of every day on the Strand, to watch the sunset together. There is a definite cohesiveness to the community, which adds a nice sense of security and peace.

About the host
Hosted by Jeanette Ferrera
My husband and I currently live bi-coastally - we spend most of the year in Florida and head out to our Manhattan Beach bungalow in the summer. The rest of the year, we like to share our beach pad with other families either relocating to the area, on extended vacations or short business contracts. We are excited about sharing our home with you!
Why they chose this property
I moved to the South Bay of Los Angeles in 1999 and immediately fell in love with the city. The locals are fantastic. The lifestyle is perfect. After working long hours during the week, I parked my car on Friday and it wouldn't move all weekend. I have great memories of rollerblading for miles along the Strand with my 2 dogs. Meeting up with friends at local restaurants. The weather is spectacular and the beaches are beautiful.
