The house was spotless and decorated perfectly - I could have taken half of the decor home with me. I would caution folks who are taller that you'll have some headroom issues with the toilets (standing is an issue), and the shower head pressure could be improved. All in all it was a lovely place to stay, great location, would stay here again!

Had difficulty unlocking door with code. Texted and never received a reply. Front door code mechanism was not operative. No phone number provided until I asked for one.received numerous (over one dozen) automatic texts. Most were AI and automatic, most wanted a rating on how we were doing. After a 30 minute delay, we solved the entry Didn't like the idea that we were to start the laundering of towels.covkroach marched across kitchen floor while we were in the kitchen. Quaint historic cottage.

Response from Management on 5 Nov 2026
Please take a look again at your messages to me and you will see that I, not a computer or AI, responded to you within one minute of you having a difficult time getting in the back door. Literally, it took me one minute to respond. I am sorry you had a hard time but I responded to you immediately, so you are wrong. I also left specific instructions on how to get it and my phone number is clearly listed on the welcome guide. It is also stated when you booked that you are asked to start the first load of laundry and take the trash outside, which you did not do. If you did not want to do that, you should have cancelled the reservation. You also left the back door wide open, not shut or locked, which is extremely disappointing and was honestly very rude and inconsiderate.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in the cottage, Little Queen on Craven. This was our first visit to New Bern and we couldn’t be happier with the accommodations. The house was in a great location, close to lots of places. The Phinnix, a toast and cocktail venue, was within walking distance. So was the river and a famous, historic graveyard. Shopping and sight seeing was abundant, all very close to our home base. The house has been renovated beautifully on the inside, making it so comfortable and enjoyable. The master bedroom includes a very comfortable bed, and a couch for reading or lounging. The space was.clean and well equipped for eating in and storing all our things. The host made sure we wouldn’t want for anything during our stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

Great location especially if you have an event at Maola like we did! It was close to that venue and the fun downtown area! It was walkable but also easy to drive and find parking since it was a little chilly at night to walk. Host is one of the best communicators we have ever had! Both beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked great and living room was comfy and cozy! We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends/family coming to NB!

Easy check-in and check-out process. Great communication with host. House in ideal location for exploring the historic sites of New Bern. House was clean and pictures were accurate. A great house with modern features but keeping the authentic 1814 charm.

Little Queen on Craven was the perfect home for two friends seeking a quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay, all within walking distance to the downtown area. An added bonus was enjoying a stay in a historic home, complete with beautiful floors and distinctive architectural details. The host was quick to respond to questions and had the house well stocked with the essentials. We discovered that New Bern is a "gem".
