Studio suite

This suite is tucked into to the back part of a family home in the upscale beach community of Windansea. From here you can walk to a divine bit of coastline and beaches in 8 minutes (2.5 blocks). When the surf is up you can hear the shore break with the french doors open to the deck and tropical garden. This is suitable for respectful guests. You have your own entrance, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor kitchen area, jacuzzi and side yard but you may interact with us or other guests in passing. There are no shared areas. I am a host that is new to VRBO but have been hosting my home for 10 + years. Please see my bio for more details.

This is a cozy space with a vintage vibe. It is suitable for one or two people.

The floors are original from the 1950’s and some features remain from the original house. Guest who book will appreciate authenticity over perfection and be ok with a non hotel experience.

You walk through the side of the house to your private entrance through the french doors. The bedroom and bathroom are a perfect nest, the deck, jacuzzi and side yard are yours. If you want to grill you have use of a barbecue outside by the deck.

There is a privacy screen and fence there around the jacuzzi so you feel sheltered. The area is in the backyard of the main house. Windows are close and it’s not a sound neutral environment.

There is a door in the hallway to the bathroom . The hallway used to open to the kitchen of main house but it is closed off now. You may hear us in the house at times.

There is a coffee/tea setup inside the hallway and a kitchenette can be set up outside where there is a kitchen sink. See pics for setup.

Available to use is a mid sized refrigerator a microwave, large toaster oven, small grill and two plug in burners as well as kitchen supplies to make a simple meal.

You have a deck seating area for hanging out or eating.
Things to note:

Gardeners come every other Tuesday in the afternoon to clean up. They and always respectful and kind. They work in the front, side yard and backyard for about an hour and may come during your visit.

A construction project started next door in March 2023, at the time of this update the noise has not been problematic but it’s there, hours and noise levels vary from day to day. I reduced the monthly rate by to account for this

This is a family environment. Respectful guests are appreciated. No smoking in or around the property. The space is close and connected to our main house so being conscientious of the house rules and quiet hours is very important.
