As mentioned in another review we were in town for two separate memorials. At arrival there was relaxing music playing, lights on and the AC turned down. The neighborhood was quiet, the antique furniture was extremely well maintained - as was the whole house. My husband and I were with our 2 21yo girls, and 4 of us showered back to back without losing water pressure or hot water. :) It is cozy but very comfortable and the patio is great for relaxing, which is exactly what we needed.
We had a great experience with this property. It is a cozy, very clean home that was minutes from our conference location. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely stay.
The house is so cute. A little close to a high traffic road but the noise was not bad. The owner was amazing!! The property was clean with all the amenities needed.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We were only there for one night but we felt safe and comfortable with the property.
I stayed again at the Martin House for a work related trip. The house is clean and well managed with easy communication with the owner and in a safe family neighborhood. I would definitely recommend it.
We came in town for a softball tournament in Ruston, and found this house at last minute. Connie is an amazing person to rent from. She made us feel right at home. She made sure we had everything we needed, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, anything you can think of we had. She also left us snacks, water and sodas and our kids loved it. Her parents are also so sweet and kind. If we are ever back in town we will definitely be staying again!!
It’s amazing how CLEAN this house is! We came into town twice in the same week for two separate memorials. Connie blocked out the time between our stays and messaged to let us know we could leave things between stays. The neighborhood is quiet, near everything, and (it should be said again) CLEAN. The porch is amazing for morning coffee or evening relaxing. There’s coffee, creamer, water, snacks, and so many other little touches that were simply thoughtful.
Great place to stay with a lot of personal touches inside and out. Quiet neighborhood but close to anything you need. Host was amazing and great to communicate with, quickly responding to questions.
Property was just as advertised or even cuter. Felt very safe in the neighborhood, even coming and going early mornings and late evenings. House was very clean and cozy. Backyard was peaceful to drink coffee at in the mornings. If attending an event at the Ike, this is an excellent location- easy and close to and from.
The whole property was exceptionally clean. The outdoor areas were beautifully landscaped and the neighborhood was quiet and seemed very safe. Connie was a gracious and welcoming host. My son and I appreciated the comfortable furnishings and felt very at home.
This charming house has been expertly renovated and decorated in a way that made you feel at home. My sister and I had enough space to spreadout to scrapbook, as well as visit with varios family members who stopped by. Centrally located, but also in a quiet neighborhood. The host was wonderful and tried to ensure all was perfect.
Our family stumbled upon this charming hidden gem while searching for a place to stay for the week during our daughter’s participation in the Fleur-de-Lis program at the Miss Louisiana pageant. This cozy and comfortable property provided a perfect haven for our family of three. The quaint double beds ensured we got enough rest, while the spacious backyard offered ample opportunities for quality outdoor time in the afternoons. The inviting living space allowed us to unwind and recover between our morning rehearsals and evening pageant activities. Our host’s exceptional hospitality and the thoughtful amenities she provided made our trip truly unforgettable. We are incredibly grateful for the perfect experience we had.We will undoubtedly revisit the Marten House whenever we find ourselves passing through Monroe again.
Great place to stay. Very clean, close to town but still in a quiet neighborhood. Connie was easy to work with and offered to check in a little early. Will definitely stay there again
