Swim, paddleboard, relax on the massive deck with mountain views, and unwind at sunset while the kids enjoy air hockey and ping pong. The perfect lakefront escape for families, groups, and wedding weekends.

The space
We are located just 2 miles from Nantahala Weddings and frequently host wedding guests and overflow lodging for events at the venue. The property is ideal for rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, and wedding weekends.

Beyond weddings, the location makes this the perfect basecamp for adventure and entertainment:

Close to the marina for boat rentals and lake excursions

Both cabins feature fully equipped kitchens and breathtaking views of Lake Nantahala and the surrounding Smoky Mountains.

You will have exclusive access to the entire lakefront property, including both cabins, the game barn, and a private dock on Lake Nantahala.

Spend your days swimming or relaxing on the dock, unwind in the 8-person hot tub, and let the kids enjoy hours of entertainment in the game barn with pool, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and more.

The property is fully private — no shared spaces.

Other things to note
• Minimum age to book is 25. A valid government-issued ID is required prior to door code release.

• We are proudly pet-friendly. If bringing pets, a separate pet agreement will be sent after booking. Please disclose all pets in advance.

• Base pricing includes up to 6 adults. Additional adult guests (18+) are $75 per adult, per stay.

• The driveway is steep, as typical for mountain lake properties. All-wheel drive is recommended during winter months.

Great stay at Chestnut

We really enjoyed our stay at Chestnut. They have great view of the Nantahala lake, and Jeff provided us detail checkin information and helpful tips. We used their water toys and and a great time!

Super cute and comfy

Beautiful view of the lake. The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved everything about it and would definitely stay again. Jeff was quick to respond to any questions I had and was also very helpful in returning some personal items we left behind.

Quick Lake Trip

I came up with my daughter and her friend to look at some real estate and enjoy the lake for the weekend. We loved staying in this adorable property! Small and cozy with everything you need. Loved sitting on the deck and watching the lake. Close to the Marina which was really convenient. We generally have more people so this cottage would be too small, but for three of us, it worked well. For a couple it would be perfect!
