The property is very spacious, clean, and well equipped for any occasion: romantic getaway, family vacation or big company of friends. Lake view, private beach, and kayaking, makes this place unique and memorable. The host Sandra was very nice making sure we have everything we need! Definitely will come back and recommend to my friends!
This place has everything you need! Just bring your own food! Great getaway from city where you can enjoy every moment with the family. Would definitely recommend this to any big family!
From the very beginning the host was extremely helpful. We booked very late and they were quick to reply to our request, provide information and even let us know about traffic conditions on our route to the home. The house and property were perfect for our visit. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy indoor activities as well as outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was extremely peaceful. It was exactly what my family during our time!
A wonderfully restful location with enough beds, linens, and dishware for the whole family. The hill was steep, yes, but the water was refreshing and the boats were fun. There was some traffic noise from 12, but it didn't matter much in the long run.
Spacious and well-maintained home; gorgeous view of Dayton Lake from both upper & lower decks; plenty of comfy furniture, both indoor and out; well-stocked kitchen (better-supplied than we expected, based on the description). We were fortunate to have great weather to enjoy spending time outside (the only downside of the bright sunshine and heat was a group of very active wasps on the deck, which isn't unusual for September). We easily got to a couple local towns to enjoy the area. We all want to come back!
Perfect location for a Notre Dame game. About 20-25 minutes based on traffic to the stadium. House itself was nice. Had everything we were looking for.
Great house, especially finished basement. Abundant entertainment options inside and out with pool table, smart t.v., volleyball net (also used for badminton), boats, kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, tree swing, etc. Lake and property is wonderfully private. Loved the 3 outside decks and sandy beach, but disappointed that swimming was limited due to abundance of lillypads surrounding the area, weedy bottom and drop offs. Also know there is a very steep trek down front yard to the lake. If swimming is not a priority, it's a top notch choice!
The Home was really cozy and welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything that you need so if anyone plans to visit this home please know they have everything you need in the Kitchen it makes you feel like you’re at home. Pretty much the description provided on the rental is on target it has everything that it says they do. Our family and friends really like the place and are planning our next visit hopefully next year.
We traveled with 4 small children. Having the convenience of walking out the door to a private beach on a lake was perfect. Just a short drive to New Buffalo if you want to spend a day on Lake Michigan.
This is a fantastic home for family gatherings, and it is very kid friendly. The home is big enough for everyone to have their own space, and there are great communal spaces for meals and games. The kitchen is stocked with cooking tools. The property was great for outdoor play and birdwatching. I appreciated the communication that came from the owner before and during our visit. I would totally stay here again with my family.
Overall the house was great and met our needs completely!! Great, peaceful location. The beach area was very nice. The kayaks, row boat and paddle board were put to good use!! The basement was the place to be in the evenings. Our family of 10 ages from 12-66 had a great time.

Disappointing
Beautiful, serene and private location.
But a disappointing week with a dirty, seaweed beach, boat with no rear seat, paddle boat broken and paddle board missing oars. No beachfront activities for us all. Lower level too cold to enjoy. Upstairs TV not working, closets locked so no place to hang clothes, twin size sheets left to make up full size bed. We had to make up all beds ourselves, slope so steep that it was hard to get to beach for all ages. Lovely outdoor porch infested with wasps.
Certainly, did not live up to our expectations.
After all the information on the property we knew it would be a good place to stay, but after we arrived it was even better and when it was time to go nobody wanted to leave.
