5 couples got together to have a kids free weekend after basketball season. We enojoyed the cabin very much. Nice quite location with great space. 5 separate bedrooms was awesome but nice large open hang out space too.
Took a short trip to hang with the family for a weekend in Logan. Property was great! Clean, well- maintained and close to plenty of hiking. Would stay again
Wonderful and beautiful stay! They even reached out the evening we arrived to ensure everything was going well. What a great experience! We will be back!
The Double Down is the perfect property for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to be together yet, have their own space when needed. Me, my 3 sons, daughters in law and grandchildren enjoyed turning off this crazy world for a couple days.
We had a great time at the Double Down. We played shuffleboard and cards, soaked in the hot tub and had a great time catching up with my high school buddies. We also enjoyed the restaurants in Logan and caught some of the local sights.
A great home to base operations.
My family stayed at the property Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The property was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of room for our family of 6. We all had a great stay. I would book here again in the future. The host should post more pictures to highlight just how nice the property is.
We stayed here with a big group and absolutely loved it! The cabin is super spacious, clean, and full of fun features that made our weekend unforgettable. The basement was hands-down our favorite spot—we spent most of our time down there playing games, hanging out, and pretending we were professional bartenders behind the awesome bar setup! The hot tub was a total hit—clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day of hiking or just lounging. The amenities were great, and the rooms were cozy and comfortable (though we all agreed the pillows could use a little upgrade—bring your own if you're picky!).A couple of things to keep in mind:The driveway is VERY steep, especially if it’s rainy or icy, so heads up for those driving lower vehicles. We’d recommend the host adding a few photos to show what to expect! The front steps are a little tricky for anyone with low mobility—not impossible, but worth knowing ahead of time. When we arrived, the house was hot—it took a while to cool down, so we’d suggest giving the AC a head start if you're arriving on a warm day.But truly, those were small things compared to how much we loved our stay. It’s the kind of place you book for a weekend and wish you could stay a week. Tons of space for everyone, great layout, and just a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Would 100% come back—and probably will!
We had a great time at Double Down. Unfortunately the day of our trip, my husband was in a car accident and his car was totaled. We were going to cancel, but he was OK and we went. We had a great time with our 4 adult kids. The place was clean, well equipped with kitchen items and just gorgeous.
The only issue with the cabin was the Wi-do. It was so poor we couldn’t have a family movie night on Netflix or anything streaming.
The place was spotless and the location is great. I just wish they could fix the WiFi.
Very clean and beautiful. Driveway was challenging. Called the office because one car couldn't make it up . They directed to another place for them to park. A bit inconvenient, but it worked out. Close to the caves .
We were all very happy and would stay again.
We loved the house and location. The home was clean, accommodations were just as advertised and the beds were super comfortable. Only notes would be to pay attention to some of the details to make guests' stay a little easier like containers or cooking spray in the kitchen. Also, the house has a hot tub but it was set at 70 degrees when we got there. We were there 2 nights and it took more than 12 hrs to heat up to 99 degrees and be warm enough as a hot tub. It would have been nice for that to be set for us to be able to use on our first night. And the lights out by the hot tub do not work & it's pitch black out there at night. So a few of the finer details were missed but all in all, this is a great house.
The Double Down Lodge was very nice and clean. It's beautiful!! We were very impressed. However, only the upstairs master bedroom had a king size bed. The other four bedrooms had queen, possibly full size beds. Very misleading. The property list three king size beds and two queen size beds. We were very disappointed with this. Blackjack Road is very narrow, NO room for errors. Once you reach the house don't blink or you'll miss the SHARP and SUDDEN left turn into the very steep, gravel driveway. As listed, you will definitely need an AWD drive vehicle. Overall, we had a good time and would stay here again. By the way, Dawn, the host/contact person is really nice and helpful.
