The best part of the property is it is within walking distance of the beach. We walked to breakfast and the beach everyday.The house is on a dead end street, very quiet, comfortable area. The house was clean, comfortable, large. The outside patio is very nice. The hosts thought of everything one can need in a house. We enjoyed the house and the area very much. The hosts responded to all questions very easily.

Sister trip. We loved our time together and each of us having our own room. Very conveniently located. Suggestion, bring your own pillow if possible. We found most of the pillows hard. We worked puzzles, and cooked breakfast. It was too hot to sit on the patio, but it was also lovely. Good and thorough instructions for us to follow.

The location was perfect for us. Nice dead end street with kind neighbors. The host was very communicative and the house had labels to help you with what you needed to know. Be aware that the house, like all the beach front, is near the naval air station so you will periodically hear loud engines overhead but not before 9:00 am and not after 10:00pm. It was not a problem at all and we thought it was really neat. Loved this property and would definitely stay here again.

We are a Northern Virginia family with family in Virginia Beach. We love being able to head to the beach on weekends every chance we get. We like to stroll along the boardwalk, sit on the beach, eat out, ride out bikes, hike, listen to the live bands, cook, etc. We hope you will enjoy your stay in our beach home as others have in the past. There is a guest book in the home we would love for you to sign. There is also a list that folks add to of favorite restaurants and places to see.

Why they chose this property

It is closeby for our weekend escapes. Lots to do in the area. Short Walk to Beach. 3 Minute Drive to Virginia Beach Convention Center. Enjoy day trips to the Aquarium, Zip-Line only 10 mins away, Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg Pottery and Outlets, or Kings Dominion. Seashore State Park is nearby. Also check out Jungle Golf.

What makes this property unique

Wake up to the sounds of ducks on Lake Heron. Enjoy sitting out after a day at the beach in the backyard sipping margaritas and grilling steaks. Kid friendly neighborhood and bike friendly. We often walk to the beach or ride our bikes, but when we have a large gathering and some folks don't want to walk to the beach - we throw the coolers and chairs and people into the car, my husband drives them down to the beach and drops all off - he then heads home to park the car and rides his bike down. When he gets back to the beach - we have chairs and coolers and umbrellas all set up. You do not have to deal with feeding the meters/attendants or looking for parking.
