Delightful stay in beautiful Staunton. Extra large loft with a comfy mattress. Very clean and quiet. Short 20 min stroll to historic downtown. Would highly recommend.
Cute little place. Perfect for two people. Bed was very comfy. The location was perfect for walking to all the different places we wanted to visit. The old claw foot tub was cute, but was not very practical for showers because the shower curtains allowed so much water through soaking the floor.
We stayed here last June, also for our wedding anniversary and to enjoy some Shakespeare. The location is a convenient walk to food and beverage, as well as to the Blackfriars theatre. The loft, itself, is simple, tasteful, and comfortable, and Joffre responded immediately to any questions that arose. We’ll definitely be back next June!
We stayed here for 2 mos, as we hoped to move to Staunton and needed to spend more time with the community. Our flat was just what we needed. Open flopr plan, kitchen, large bathroom and a great front porch. It became our home away from home while we scoped out properties to find our new home. We found it and will be moving to Staunton soon!Diane & Sterling
It was very quite and there were great views from the top floor of the apartment. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Joffre was very nice and quick to reply whenever we had a question. It was very easy getting into the apartment with the code.
The first thing out of my mouth when we walked though the door was, "this place is so adorable, and so much more spacious than i expected." The host was very welcoming and pleasant. The location was perfect, we never used our car. We walked everywhere! Nothing was more than 8 minute walk. We will definitely visit this host again when we travel to Staunton.
Really great location especially for the price. Place was clean and well stocked (hair drier, iron, spare bedding, kitchen appliances, cleaners, etc.). I lived in Staunton for years and it definitely has that Staunton cute/quirky charm, so it feels more like a home away from home compared to the antiseptic feel of many of the nearby hotels. Parking was great, but you can walk into town if you’re so inclined and it’s right next to the park which has some stunning views of town. Neighborhood is quiet and charming and safe. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!
I am from Staunton and this is in its best neighborhood. The street past the house is narrow and very steep, like you're in Europe. The houses nearby are quirky but it's pretty quiet except for the occasional sound of someone playing an acoustic guitar on a distant porch. You get back to the loft and you just feel relaxed.

There were fleas (I have pictures and video) and the owner accused me of transporting a flea from my home so that I could scam him. He did not apologize, nor offer a refund until I asked. He said he washed the blanket so i should just stay there.
This is a really cute studio in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Staunton. It was really convenient to all the restaurants and amenities in town. Street parking in front was easy. We really appreciated the nicely preserved historic charm of the studio too. The bathroom could use some improvements though. Clawfoot tubs are cool but are notorious for soaking the floor, so it would’ve been nice to have more than one tiny bathmat and one small towel bar - an additional bathmat and towel hook would go a long way. Also, the toilet seat is the wrong size/shape for the toilet, which results in it nearly falling in - if we’d been here more than one night I would’ve gone to Home Depot and replaced it myself for $20 and 5 minutes of effort, it was that unfortunate. It was also a little difficult to find the unit, as it did not have a number on the door and there are four total units in the building. Overall, it’s a nice place and we enjoyed our stay, but a few small (and inexpensive) fixes would’ve made it better.
New Town was new over 200 years ago. My street was new 125 years ago. Overlooking downtown, with quirky streets and lots of dog-walking neighbors, what’s not to love.
What makes this property unique
With its exposed chimney, and open plan, this is a fun living space. I chose lots of color and a mid-century theme to add to the joyous feel. Open the shades and enjoy the sunrise over the mountains. You’ll love it.
