Everything was pristine, as if she had made everything new just for us. Comfortable space, lovely cottage, loved spending mornings on the 3 seasons porch, comfortable bed, nice shower, with luxurious linens, great location. Loved the suggestions of things to do in the area. We would definitely stay again.
This was a great place to stay and the location is perfect. Very central to so many things to see and do. Excellent curb appeal that carries throughout the house as well. Sandy was great and do not miss staying here- you won't be disappointed.
Very clean & well cared for home. Nice decor - warm & friendly. Trains a bit noisy but not overwhelming. The shower head could be a bit softer and the shower curtain is a bit short allowing outer curtain and floor to get wet. I’d suggest some longer hooks that would lower it a bit. Hate to see your floor get damaged over time. We enjoyed our stay.
Harwood House was picture perfect. Great attention to ever detail. Comfortable beds, plush bath towels, even q-tips ... I know ... But it really did make a difference. Loved it!
We enjoyed our short visit in this immaculate and tastefully decorated home. The home was well stocked with anything we needed - even people snacks and dog snacks. I loved the enclosed sun porch with the coffee bar! So relaxing in the mornings. Very simple check-in and host was always very timely with replies. This is one of the best VRBO’s I’ve visited and highly recommend staying here.
My friends and I were very pleased with this home! It was stocked with everything we needed and very clean. It was a short distance to downtown Prarie Du Chen making our stay even better! I would definitely stay here again!
We booked the Hardwood House because we were visiting the Effigy Mounds for fall colors. It was only 12 minutes drive. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations nearby. The house was immaculately clean and homey. Beds were comfortable. I appreciated having a dishwasher so we didn’t have to spend our time washing dishes. The porch was very nice but we didn’t end up using it. The “pet station” was a very nice touch. The host was a great communicator and accommodating our request about our pet. She left the porch light on for us, as we arrived late. The house is located near train tracks and the train horn went off hourly as it was coming through town.
We stayed at the property for a weekend and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of room for four adults. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again.
This clean, comfortable, and well-equipped home is a great place to stay for either an individual, couple, or family. It was the perfect base from which to explore Prairie du Chien, the Upper Mississippi River, and surrounding communities — and to relax after a full day of adventuring.
Our daughter got married in PDC. We live somewhat local, but decided we wanted to stay in town for the weekend. Everything was perfect! We had everything we needed at the house, and then some. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
This is a great place to stay that is close to many attractions in the driftless area. The house is super clean. Lots of places to sit. I found the bed comfy. I didn't do much cooking this time, but the kitchen is nicely appointed if you wanted to. Huge 3-season room should be welcome in the warmer months. Off street parking for 2 vehicles.
We had a lovely time at the Harwood House. The pictures on the website were exactly like the house. Cute as could be ... our favorite room was the sunroom. We had coffee in morning and dinner in the evening. We appreciate that we could
take our dog. He liked the treats Shirley left for him. Shirley made it so easy to there there. Thank you!
take our dog with us. He sure like the
I would highly recommend staying here. It seemed like they thought of everything, from snacks and small waters, to a welcome card and make up wipes! The host was also quick to respond anytime I communicated. The only downsides were not having cable to watch football, and a desire for more comfy chairs out in the man cave porch (not pictured).
