About this property

Waterfront Cottage with Covered Boat Slip

Cottage in the woods located directly on Crooked River. Three bedrooms & two full baths. Covered boat slip & a boat ramp. Peaceful & secluded, yet walking distance from town. Starlink High-Speed Internet included!! Full kitchen with dishwasher, washer & dryer.
New paint throughout, electric fireplace, furniture and ceiling. Kitchen remodeled 2022. New deck and dock ready to enjoy!!
Situated right on Crooked River. Access to boat dock next to cottage.
You have access to the entire house.
We are very pet friendly but over the years we have been renting, unfortunately, we've had a few misbehaving pets that have resulted in us having to adopt a pet policy and a pet fee. We charge $25/night, per pet, with a maximum fee of $250. Upon booking, please call us and we will send policy form and collect payment.
Boat rentals available near by. Fun wineries to visit. Unique shops in both Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Local Bakery in Alanson

Lovely river view cottage

The location of this property is wonderful, whether you bring a boat, kayaks or enjoy the river from the comfort of the deck or backyard. We spotted two swans and three deer swimming across the river.

Loved the space and property. It was all we needed for the two night stay for me and my family. Loved all the awesome places within just a couple miles from the house. Bakery, restaurants, etc.

Beautiful nights with northern lights

The property is quiet and backs up to a river. We were even treated to an evening with northern lights - that's how dark it is out there (at least in the front yard). Overall, the house was clean, and the appliances are new and modern. My one note to prospective renters is that the property is right next to the river locks, and they have security lights shining all night long so the backyard is somewhat illuminated.

Great boat slip! Bad Septic

We had a great time at this location! Plenty of room, boat slip was awesome, and very clean. There was limited stock, we ran out of toilet paper. The door to the primary bedroom would not close completely and the septic tank smelled awful making it hot nights since we couldn’t keep the windows open due to the smell. But overall we still had a great time!

We apologize for the septic issue. Unfortunately, you stayed during a weekend and we couldn't get someone with the part out till Monday morning. Don did come twice a day during your stay to empty. We didn't want to cancel on you they day of your arrival when the issue was found. It has been fixed. We do check in letters when you arrive providing you a number to call when you need anything. We will always bring toilet paper!
