Fantastic Stay

The cabin was perfect for two adults and two small children. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The exterior included a yard with a privacy fence which is great for pets and kids. The thing that stood out to me the most is the kindness and hospitality of John, the owner/property manager. John went above and beyond to ensure we had comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying there again.

Great communication

I forgot to tell them the dog was coming. They had no problems making the adjustment. The back yard was big enough for all of us. Just close enough to all the hiking trails in Cooks Forest and Allegheny National Forest. Brittany sent a great pdf of some of the sites. She was easily available if we needed something . Wonderful to have firewood at the site. Down side was the bedroom was small but manageable. Wish we had a cutting board. We had a great time and will come back.

Cozy cabin

Wonderful little get away. Exactly what I had in mind when booking. Cozy, quiet, clean, such cute decorations and big back yard. I was afraid that we would be sharing all of the outside amenities, but nope completely private. Will hopefully be back again soon.

Cute little cabin

The cabin was all we needed. It was clean, kept us warm, and had nice amenities. The owner was kind, had great communication, and was available if we needed anything. It was a short drive to Cooks forest, so we made that drive for some hikes every day of our stay. Great experience! Thank you!!

Backyard dreams

A small house that had just what we needed for the two of us and my dog. Very relaxing and loved the backyard, we went on a rainy weekend, so I can only imagine using the backyard having a cookout on a nice weekend!

Beautiful setting, fairly remote and quiet. Lodgings were lovely: rustic in appearance but fully appointed and modern with backyard activities.

Small Cozy Cabin

We had a mostly positive stay at the this cabin. The cabin is small, cozy and seems recently built. When arriving we did not have a comforter on our bed but the owner was able to bring one within a few hours. The backyard was big and the axe throwing and firepit look like a great time, but we got unlucky with a snow/rain storm during our stay. The cabin was pretty clean except for some hair in the shower and a cigarette butt on a window sill. The shower is big and has dispensers for soap but ours were empty. The WiFi only worked for the tv and not our devices. Other than the bad weather we had a nice stay.

Stayed here with my two kids and we had a blast! Had a few questions for the host that were answered immediately. The cabin was well equipped, clean and we had a blast. We all enjoyed the swings by the fire pit & ax throwing!!!!

Amazing

Had a weekend getaway here and it was amazing. The cabin was clean and spacious, the staff was on spot with all questions and even hooked us up in light of the rain we had prior to our stay. Will definitely be going back here and recommend anyone who wants a weekend away in a quiet little area to go here. Thanks again Brittany

Cute and Comfy Cabin

Me, the hubby, and the pup decided to go away for a long weekend. We looked what was available that was close but not too close. This little cabin fit the bill. The cabin was small but comfy. There was a well equipped kitchen and a nice living room area with good tv and wifi. There is a small bedroom and a nice bathroom (the shower is very large). The outdoor area is wonderful as well. Our cabin had an ax throwing area (which we loved!!!) and a nice fire pit area. There was also a patio at the back and a nice, large front porch. And it was clean which is very important. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do which included hiking in Cook's Forest (which is beautiful and right up the road). Brittany was wonderful! Any questions we had were answered immediately. We would love to go back in the future!

Like new little cabin

It was small but in very good shape! We made it work fine with two teens and two dogs Kids Loved the outdoor Axe throwing! Huge hit! Only downside was although decorative the outdoor walkways were hard to walk on Several times stumps came up and caught our feet We went around and used grassy areas Staff was very helpful Checked in on us several times to make sure we didn’t need anything!!

Great place - loved the outdoor amenities—WiFi was spotty at best

Place was mostly great. Loved the outdoors amenities. Firepit with swings and axe throwing were great. Small but roomy interior. The WiFi - was very spotty - could not keep any devices online - the TV worked great but the WiFi for the cabin was not usable - my wife and child could not get online to do anything- also only had 3 Forks - luckily there were only 3 of us. Great stay except for the lack of WiFi - could not contact the property manager as the message the property owner would not work on VRBO (not sure if this was an app problem, a WiFi problem, or an issue with the property manager) was going to ask about WiFi & where to put full garbage - also the online VRBO listing says there is a hot tub - did not see any pictures so did not think there was one but should be removed from listing for the future

Great weekend with family/teens.

We had an excellent weekend at the cabin, very happy with the ax throwing/swings by the fire. We are used to traveling/camping so brought many things with us to make the weekend easier. - The backyard is not well lit & puddles water. Need flashlight/headlamp, rubber boots, & extra trash bags to cover the wet seats. The owner and his helpful daughter brought us two boxes of dry wood. Thank you! Lighter fluid was provided, no matches. Patio fireplace was not used: cushions left out in the rain before we arrived & never dried.-- Living room, kitchen are all one smaller space. Had to put grocery bags on the floor. Four tall stools. No chairs. No table on the property for games or eating. Very basic kitchen supplies provided. We used our own cutting board & microwave bowl with handle. -- Cabin lighting is very bright without lamps for evening hours. Steam from the bathroom put off the fire alarm. Open windows on the back let rain in so had to keep those closed. Says sleeps 5 (charged 15 for fifth person). Two twin futons uncomfortable as couch or bed. Brought our own cot for 5th person.- Bathroom shower shampoo/conditioner/soap were empty. Used ours. No shelves, counters, or hooks to put belongings, so we had to put these on the floor. Plenty of towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, first aid kit, and some other toiletries provided. - Bedroom has no dresser/closet. We packed in laundry baskets (placed on floor). Memory foam mattress.- Very clean, good TV/WIFI, Nice diffuser.

Host profile image
We’re Johnny and Brittany, co-owners of Forest Villas. What began as a single property has grown into our first full raw land development, built from the ground up with one goal.. creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Johnny was raised right here in the Allegheny National Forest region and brings an insider’s knowledge of the best trails, hidden gems, and local adventures. He’s not only a dedicated businessman and visionary host, but also a proud father who loves helping guests make the most of their stay.

Brittany first came to the area on a nursing contract and, after renting one of Johnny’s cabins, joined forces as co-owner and property manager. With a background in hospitality and a passion for guest care, she helps shape everything from quick response times to the little touches that make your stay feel like home.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but more than anything, we’re excited to welcome you. Our cabins are more than just a place to stay… they’re a space for you to slow down, reconnect, and create the kind of memories you’ll never forget.

Why they chose this property

Amazing location conveniently located off Rt 66. Easy access to town and minutes away from a plethora of activities from wine tastings, to hunting and fishing, or simply relaxing in the river after a hike in the woods. Recently renovated and jam-packed with amenities; we can’t wait to share our space with you.

What makes this property unique

We pride ourselves on being available anytime a guest needs us with a 100% response rate on other platforms and donned with a Super Host title! While this cabin and listing are both new to VRBO, we can’t wait to fill up the reviews. Being able to provide you with an amazing experience is at the core of our passion.

We are located between the Allegheny national forest and the infamous cooks forest. There are several trails of varying degrees of difficulty and composure. We are very well known for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as well. If that is not your cup of tea, we are only a few minutes from the Allegheny National River. Pick a Cove and jump in or along the river front, there is a canoe/raft rental company that also provides transportation!

While in town most any essential need is available and the small close knit community will make you feel like family. Marienville is truly a hidden gem!
