Aloha! Welcome to Hale 'Ikena Makai, pronounced Ha-lay e-ken-na ma-ki, 'Home with a View of the Sea'. This property is the original member of Platinum Maui Vacations.

This tastefully remodeled 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath Kapalua Golf Villa is a top floor corner unit, up one flight of stairs, all on one level interior, located in building 17 fronting the Kapalua Bay Golf Course on the lower row on the 10th fairway in the prestigious Kapalua Resort. This upscale resort community overlooking the northwest shore on the island of Maui has 180+ units in the complex built on a west facing hillside with this gem situated on the 10th fairway with no other buildings or rooftops to block the realistic views we portray in this ad. From the first moment you step into Hale 'Ikena Makai, you will experience the expansive and inviting living area that features comfortable yet classy island style furnishings, a quality 52' wall mounted television, high definition cable, a good sound system, Blue Ray DVD, plus CD, and wireless internet router. As seen in our realistic photography there was no expense spared in the renovation that includes gorgeous and unique granite on the cherry cabinets throughout. The kitchen is well appointed with stainless steel appliances both large and small; if you decide to stay in and cook, everything you need is here. There is a bar area with beverage cooler and plenty of bar glasses highlighted with local art decor. The powder room also with a granite counter top and vessel sink is adjacent to the great room living area. The full bath features custom porcelain tile in the large walk in rain shower, accented by honu or turtle to set off the beautiful granite and vanity with double sinks and custom designs. Both bathrooms feature luxurious cotton towels for your added comfort and convenience.

When you're in Maui, play hard, have fun and then rest up in the spacious bedroom with its comfortable king size bed made up with luxurious clean hotel quality linens. Lovely Kapalua Villa

This villa was the perfect spot for our two week stay. The views are spectacular. We saw whales every day from our lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bed is super comfortable. The location is great. So quiet and relaxing. We’d stay again and recommend this villa to anyone.

Paradise in Kapalua

This home is the perfect size and location for a couple looking for a clean, thoughtfully decorated, well appointed and comfortable stay in Kapalua. This is one of the nicest, well appointed, homes we have stayed in. The owners have gone to great lengths to bring the Hawaiian Ohana feels into their home to share with guests. I would recommend this stay to any couple looking for a clean, stylish, relaxing place with an incredible golf course and ocean view. The property manager, Dave, was very accommodating as well. He went out of his way to accommodate us when we had to transfer from another property in the area. We look forward to staying here again.

Very clean and well appointed. Certainly off shore but, so peaceful, tranquil. Golf course vibes are quiet and relaxing vs shoreline touristo vibes. We’re not golfers but it is also ideally located near epic beach diver reefage. Kapalua Bay, Honolua Bay etc. if you know, you know. …If you golf, hike and dive this is a trifecta. …great, flexible hosts without a laundry list of chores upon checkout. *****

Christmas get away.

The villa was perfect and looked just like the pictures! The kitchen was well stocked! The views from the patio were awesome. Located right in the middle of the 4th fairway on the Bay course. Loved Dave’s personal welcome and info about the villa and the resort. Only problem was the bandwidth for the WiFi is super slow, we brought our firestick so we could watch movies and had a very difficult time streaming. We had to reset the WiFi often during a movie. An upgrade to the bandwidth would take care of that problem. We really enjoyed our time in Kapalua and at the villa.

Mahalo for the wonderful review Wendy! We know it's tough to find time in this busy world and we appreciate it so much. We did take your feedback to heart and while we cannot do anything about bandwidth, (because the Golf Villas share the fastest signal available in Kapalua, key word being share), we did go ahead and replace the router/modem in case that had anything to do with the speed. Fortunately the service is adequate for most guests but streaming movies via internet does require a lot of bandwidth you are right. Also want to point out while it may be a thing of the past, we do still provide DVD players and we do still have a store just down the road that has very inexpensive DVD's to rent So glad to hear you guys enjoyed your stay! Not happy with quality of bed linens and pillows. Using a bedspread is not appropriate for a rental property; it was quite evident it was not washed. I had to wash a blanket because we found hairs !The stainless steel pans not user friendly. No map of area and facilities. Had issues with ice from frig but was taken care of by contact person immediately. FYI several steps to unit so anyone with mobility issues would struggle.

The view is breathtaking from this condo! We loved the decor, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, the privacy, and the area so much. We enjoyed the lanai with super comfy chairs to watch golfers and take in the scenery. Highly recommend these places for food if not cooking: Merriman’s, Taverna, & Dukes. Excellent hosts with exceptional communication.

This property is almost 100% perfect!! The only downside is that it’s not directly on the beach, but with the views and comfort, it doesn’t even matter. The property manager was super helpful and friendly and the process was super easy. We felt right at home here and will definitely be wanting to return!!

Nicely appointed villa in Kapalua with golf and ocean view. Condo has everything you need for a stress free time on Maui. Nice beaches and snorkeling close by. We loved staying here and would stay again.

Spent the weekend of the big Kapalua Golf Tournament Championship at this lovely condo---perfect for a couple. Nicely appointed, lovely panoramic views of the course and ocean,and accessible to everything in Kapalua via a great shuttle system that took us everywhere so we didn't have to drive. Nearby Montage and Ritz-Carlton properties have nice restaurants and amenities, and there are some great coastal walks there. Great January weather! All in all, a place we would stay again.

Lovely Setting...Wonderful Property

I just spent six memorable nights at this condo in the Golf Villas. Arrival was very smooth and Dave was terrific in meeting me on time I (and my flight was late!) and quickly giving me instructions for the place. The condo itself is in an excellent location overlooking the Bay Course at Kapalua. I spent hours on the nice porch just enjoying the sights and sounds. Seeing the ocean and Molokai on the horizon was an extra treat. The Golf Villas are very well located in Kapalua. I walked a three mile loop many days and the views were amazing. There are many nearby restaurants and beaches. This could be one of the best spots in West Maui. The condo was clean, beautiful, and modern - having been recently updated in all areas. I slept great every night and will definitely return! Highly recommended.

We had such an awesome stay here! The condo was beautifully furnished and the amenities were terrific. It was so nice to be able to stay in and relax or explore. We were able to cook fresh local fish and enjoy delicious island fruit and produce with the nicely stocked kitchen. Last but not least, Dave was the absolute best! He met us at the condo and familiarized with everything. Gave us some good tips and made our stay that much more enjoyable. Mahalo, Dave! We look forward to coming back here again soon.
