About this property

Quiet lake vacation. Northwoods: Crivitz, Twin Bridges, and Peshtigo River area

This property has 100 feet of water frontage one hour north of Green Bay on Gilas Lake. Fish and swim from your own private dock. Enjoy use of our kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and/or older rowboat. Recreational hours are 10 am to 4 pm. Quiet, no wake hours before 10 and after 4. Play during the daytime and enjoy the quiet of the no wake hours.

This cottage, located 20 minutes from Crivitz, has 3 bedrooms. The bedroom on the main level has a queen-size bed. Upstairs, one bedroom has a queen-sized bed and down a hallway (this room has no door) are 2 twin-size beds. The cottage has one full-sized bathroom with a tub/shower, spacious living room and a 3 season porch to enjoy the scenic lake. The kitchen is complete with microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, small table, dishes, pots, pans and basic utensils. Bed linens, blankets, towels are provided. Private setting: 2 vacant wooded lake lots west of the cottage and the owner's residence on the east side. Owners are available for assistance during your stay.

Other amenities include air conditioning, washer, dryer, dock, fire pit, charcoal and gas grills, life jackets, rowboat, paddle boat, and canoe. No wifi

The cottage is available for year-round rentals.

We provide a starter pile of firewood for your initial campfire. For your convenience, additional local firewood can be purchased from us. Of course, you can bring your own firewood as well.

The cottage and landscape are so well taken care of- very clean and accessible. Our hosts provided everything we needed to use the grill and make a fire in the yard. Carrie and Rob were on the grounds and made us feel very welcome.

Summer Vacation

We had an absolute wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful, with excellent lake views. Many things to keep us occupied during our stay. Carrie and Rob are excellent hosts. I highly recommend this cabin. Plenty ofother things to do in the area as well if you like to explore.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I spent a few days at the cottage at Gilas Lake and had a wonderful experience. The cabin is clean and the lake is clear and beautiful. It was fun to watch the Loons on the lake and it was very peaceful. Would definitely go back.

Guys Fishing Trip

My husband and two sons (14 and 10) had a great guys trip fishing and enjoying the cabin. Carrie was great to work with. They definitely want to come back next summer.

This cottage is in a great location and has it all

We thoroughly enjoyed our annual girls trip at this lovely cottage! This property is beautifully landscaped, clean, and well cared for. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board while here, as well as the three season room, porch and fire pit. We had lots of fun playing games at night too. It was fun to explore the area too - like the cute shops in Crivitz, as well as the nice shops in Menomonee. The owner is very kind and responsive, which is another plus!

Lake Gilas

Carrie and Rob - thank you for everything. Beautiful home and property. The lake is crystal clear, very light boat traffic, and fishing was great!!! A/C in the house was a big plus on a hot weekend. Out in the woods, but close enough to town for breakfast, fish fry, etc. Hope to be back, thanks again.

Wonderful Vacation

This was a wonderful experience for the three of us. The cabin seemed more like a house than a cabin and was in pristine condition. You had everything available that anyone could ask for including boats for exploring the lake. The lakeshore is very inviting for a swim - even for young children. We visited a number of parks and waterfalls in the county and were impressed at how well kept up they all were. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful property with us. Gilas Lake Cottage

My wife and I rented this cabin for 5 nights in June. We found the cottage to be nicely updated, very clean, and the kitchen well stocked. The site is fairly private; there is no cottage to the west and the owner'shome is to the east, with some plant buffer in between. The lake is gin clear, with lots of natural or restored shoreline, and a limited lake view (perfect). Bass and northern pike are plentiful. We would definately rent this again and recommend this to anyone who wants a shangri-la for a week that includes a nice lake, privacy, and a clean cottage for a reasonable price, The cottage is near lots of county parks, waterfalls and other flowages for fishing and hiking. Thunder Mountain park is a good hike, and the Johnson Falls Flowage is a scenic flowage with a good bass population. Veterens Park has several very nice waterfalls.

Quaint well maintained cabin

We had a very relaxing stay at the cabin. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house having brought our 6 month old along. The cabin was quaint and the yard was well maintained. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds come and go at the feeder outside. My husband brought his fishing boat and caught several bass, perch, and bluegill. He had a northern trailing him for some time but it did not bite. The dock had a ton of eager bluegill around it and we had fun catching small one after small one and throwing them back in the water. There was a row boat, kayaks, paddle board, and paddle boat available to use as well as pool noodles, and an infant life jacket. The 4 seasons porch was moms favorite spot and where I spent the majority of my time with baby while dad was fishing :) we would return in a heartbeat!

Peaceful and Scenic in October.

Enjoyed fall colors in mid/late October. Beautiful view of the lake from abundant windows in living room and three seasons room. Cottage is comfortable, impeccably clean, and well-stocked. Heating system did a good job warming up the rooms. There was a nice pier for getting into the boats and for fishing. Went for an early morning walk on gravel road and saw deer and turkeys. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet during our stay. Weak cell connection on our phones made checking weather forecast and making a restaurant reservation challenging, but we managed. Brought a lot of food with us, but didn't think to bring coffee. So, you're welcome for that reminder. :) Enjoyed an excellent prime rib dinner at Woods Dining & Spirits about 16 miles away in Crivitz, and the cottage owners provide a binder with other, nearer, recommendations. Altogether a wonderful stay!

Grab this place, it's perfect!

This a picture perfect lake cottage with fantastic amenities. The owner is easy to communicate and deal with, the house is well stocked and spotless, and the lake is clear and inviting. We swam, boated, and fished to our hearts content while time stood still around us. With two kayaks, a stand up paddleboard, a paddleboat and a rowboat, there are lots of choices to get you out on the water. The lake is a perfect size to make getting to the other size doable but a workout. Keep an eye out for the loons! The sleeping areas in the house are separated enough from the living areas that you can put little ones to sleep early without any noise. The firepit, the grills, the picnic table and the swing are all of the ingredients you need to enjoy the outdoor space to the utmost. That outdoor space is secluded and the whole cottage is nowhere near any other property aside from the owners. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

We had a lovely stay! The cottage and properly were meticulously maintained and cared for. The two bedrooms upstairs were great for the kids. It had a door at the top of the stairs that we could shut to keep out noise so we woke up early in the morning we wouldn’t disturb them. The large property gave us nice privacy even with the owners being next door. There is a beautiful view of the lake. We went in September and there was such little boat traffic that I didn’t worry about the boys going out on their own to fish using the paddle boat. Crystal clear water. We loved it here.
