Bring the entire family including your horses to our awesome Horse Retreat

Bring your entire family including your furry friends to the brand new Steppler Horse Retreat in RURAL Colo Springs! With acres to roam the entire family will love it here, including the horses! Just a few minutes from both Monument and the Springs yet far enough out from the city to feel secluded and have a true country retreat. Please reach out to Lindsay if you'd like to bring your horses and we can discuss specifics. No horses on property without speaking to Lindsay first about the details.

15 minutes to the new Ford Amphitheater. The property is RURAL, we are off a dirt road and the driveway is a dirt road. We are surrounded by meadows but we also have a neighbor. Ask about long term renting.

You will have access to the entire farmhouse. The property has 6 acres. The owners have a business garage on property that will occassionally have employees that need to access it. There is also an RV on property. Residence staying at the Farmhouse have access to the land around the house and to the pasture for your horses, but not all 6 acres. Ask about long term renting.

Our farmhouse includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other a king that turns into two twins. The sofa in the living room converts into a bed to comfrotably sleep 2 more. The entire property sleeps 6 people. You will find all the essentials in the kitchen to whip up anything you might desire. Each bedroom has its own bathroom & a large walk in closet in the master. Ask about long term renting.

Dogs are welcome with a $150 dog fee. Horses are welcome; you must reach out to Lindsay first to discuss specifics before bringing horses. This property is RURAL. We are off a dirt road, the driveway is a dirt road. If you are looking for a city feel this is not the property for you. Ask about long term renting.

Our hostess was wonderful and allowed my pets. I really needed this time. The location was quiet and peaceful. There were tons of birds and rabbits to watch and beautiful sunrises. The decor was fitting and really pretty. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We cooked our own meals the whole time. We enjoyed our stay so much!

The home was clean and comfortable. Close enough to the great national parks yet just far enough for peace and quiet to relax after a busy day. Perfect for 4 adults (2 couples) we would definitely book again!

Nice and clean house but terrible driveway

The house itself was clean and in a nice location. Had no troubles reaching the host and was given good instructions for check in/check out. I gave it a 3 star overall because the drive up/drive way is terrible. Giant holes in the gravel road that could easily cause damage to car if not careful enough. Also, the address listed on VRBO was different from the one sent to me in an email.

Not as expected or described!

Pros- The "farmhouse" aka refurbished trailer is very nicely appointed inside. Updated & decorated nicely. The full kitchen is a huge plus as well as the full size washer & dryer. The bathrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The sofa bed was broken when we were there, so didn't use it. There is a front porch, but the immediate view looks at a bunch of pine trees that block the unsightly rundown campers and trailers in the front property. The left side view is better esp in the morning.. Communication was easy and quick. Cons- There is NO AC! During the day it is HOT inside, despite the fan system which were so dirty that it set off my dust allergy. The ceiling fans were coated in dust and made them hard to use. The house had an odd odor. Luckily, opening the windows was ok in the evening when we were mostly there. Just ignored the layers of dust in the window sills as well. There was not enough comfortable seating in the kitchen or the living room for our family of 5. The driveway is very rutted and washed out as is most of the land & pasture areas. The area around the house is crowded with trailers and other equipment, not just 1 garage and 1 RV like listed in the description. It is not private outside, at all. The neighbors race up and down the driveway at all hours of the day & night. I unfortunately, would not recommend this place for families with kids, people with dust allergies, horses or older relatives
