Stunning property with river frontage, walled garden, hot tub & fire pit.
The location of this home is amazing in the heart of Henley overlooking the river and Henley Bridge yet with a spacious garden at the rear. The kitchen we had fitted in Spring 2023 as is the main bathroom completed in June. The home has a large cosy lounge with a fireplace also great for summer dining overlooking the the garden. In the garden you have use of a hot tub.

Beautiful property and so convenient to train station, regatta location, pubs and grocery store. Do not need a car staying here. Thank you Anna, you are the perfect host. We hope we can come back.

Great house but beware the cat dander
The location, bedrooms, bathrooms, and amenities in the house were terrific. We were there to race at Henley Masters Regatta so needed a place close by where we could cook. It fit that bill perfectly. However, the listing states that pets are not permitted and fails to mention the owner keeps two cats. If you or any member of your party have an allergy, this is NOT the right house. The house is NOT free of cat hair or dander. Stay somewhere else if you have any cat dander allergies. We learned of the cats the week before we arrived when the owner asked us if she could leave the cats in the home during our stay, though she had a reservation for them at the cattery. I said no, members of our party are allergic to cats, one severely. The owner reassured us that the house was clean and her Bengal cats did not shed. (Impossible — even Bengal cats shed and emit some dander.) The severely allergic member of our party was forced to change their plans, stay at a hotel at the last minute. The other member with more minor allergies suffered sneezing and watery eyes when sitting in the common living area. I regret having to write this review as a longtime VRBO customer. I attempted to work with the owner repeatedly to resolve the issue, seeking a partial refund. She claimed it was our fault for not asking about pets when we made the reservation. (Also, be prepared to buy toilet paper because there were no extra rolls, Fans in each bedroom for hot days/nights are also needed.)
There were 7 of us staying for the weekend & we had a lovely time.
House and garden really comfortable, everything we needed.
The only negative was there wasn’t an instruction leaflet to tell us re WiFi, bins, how to use the hot tap, cooker, hob etc, which would have been handy rather than needing to interrupt the host or navigating ourselves.
Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend.
This property is ideally located on the river at the Henley Bridge. It is within walking distance of the town and restaurants. Henley is a nightmare for parking but the owner provided parking passes which made the issue much easier. The property is old and as such does have some quirky features in the layout and with all the bedrooms upstairs could be an issue for elderly visitors. But overall we enjoyed the stay, the house was comfortable and any issues we did have were helpfully resolved by the owner.
We let the house for a few days of the Henley regatta. Absolutely wonderful
staying steps away from the river. This is a lovely home in a remarkably beautiful setting. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, kitchen efficient and modern, living areas very comfortable, and the garden is a gem. We are absolute fans, and will return. The owners were very flexible with our changing schedules and easy to work with.
Staying at Anna's property in Henley-on-Thames is a restful and relaxing treat. The 4 bedroom property is clean and well appointed with all of the comforts of home. A large living room area was used often and easily accommodated our party of five, plus visits from family and friends. There is a private, secluded garden with outdoor seating as well as a hot tub, but unfortunately the English weather prevented from its use. Perhaps next time? But the best part of this property is the location; only a short walk from pubs, restaurants, Waitrose and a charming center square. Anna's recommendations for restaurants was spot on and she is a wonderful host, responding to all requests in a timely fashion. We recommend this property to all who are looking for a peaceful retreat in the lovely town of Henley-on-Thames!
