A Different Kind of A-Frame
The Smokies are full of A-frames. They are not full of A-frames like this one. The soul of the house is the original 1970s build — high-pitched ceilings, exposed beams, and the kind of bones that make a designer want to move in. The experience inside is thoroughly modern: mid-century furnishings, Google Home voice-controlled lighting and music, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Mt. LeConte like a painting.

The View
Mt. LeConte is the most photographed peak in the Smokies. From the front deck of this cabin, you'll understand why. The high-pitched windows were made for this view — morning coffee with the mountain in the frame, evenings watching the light change across the ridgeline.

The Cabin
Three bedrooms, two full baths, sleeps six comfortably. The living room is the heart of the house: an authentic Eames leather lounger, a Noguchi coffee table, a fireplace for cold mountain nights, and a low sofa sized for a full group. Three queen bedrooms: the primary with a long mountain view, a second queen on the main level, and a loft bedroom with its own Eames lounging nook — the kind of room guests fight over.

The Arcade & Games
The lower level is the rainy-day floor. A full pool table, a stand-up arcade cabinet, board games, and a bar setup for the adults. The kind of space that turns a wet afternoon into a highlight of the trip.

The Chalet Village Amenities
This is where the Groovy A-Frame separates itself from every other cabin in the Smokies. Guests have exclusive access to three Chalet Village clubhouses with three swimming pools, pickleball courts, and tennis courts — all just minutes down the road. In summer these are the secret weapons of this property. In winter, Ober Mountain skiing and snow tubing is under ten minutes away — we keep a small basket of winter gear in the entry closet for guests who didn't pack for snow.

The Hot Tub
Private, on the deck, lit and warm before you arrive. The projector just above hot tub, turns the bath house into a cinema once the sun goes down.

The Tech
High-speed Wi-Fi, Google Home voice-controlled lighting and music throughout, Smart TVs in every room, and an outdoor projector for deck movie nights.

Where You Are
Chalet Village sits on the mountain above Gatlinburg — close enough to drive to dinner in six minutes, quiet enough that you'll forget the Parkway exists. Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are fifteen minutes away. Ober Mountain is ten.

About Us
We're Alexei and Nicola. Fourteen years hosting in the Smokies, almost 700 guest stays across our small portfolio. The Groovy A-Frame has been with us since 2020 — long enough that we've learned exactly which seat in the living room catches the late-afternoon sun. We answer messages quickly and send a curated local guide once you book.

Look for the Groovy A-Frame medallion on the exterior when you arrive — it's our nod to the cabin's original 1970s soul.
