Cozy Cottage, Dog Friendly, Natural Wood, Full Kitchen, Sleeps 4, Close to Beach
Vacationing at May Brook Falls Cottages gives you the opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy a slower pace.
Our property has three vintage cabins that have been fully remodeled. They can be rented all together, or individually.
Cottage 2: This family cottage includes three main rooms and a bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for longer stays. While a living room/kids room offers sleeping space and the ability to spread out a bit on those rainy days, or when escaping from the mid-day sun. A separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed lets parents have a little privacy. This cottage has a bathroom with a shower, and a cozy, screened in front porch overlooking the yard.
The Property: These comfortable cottages are nestled along May Brook in Barton, Vermont, across the street from Pageant Park Beach on Crystal Lake.
Situated on over an acre of land, there is plenty of room for campfires, lawn games, running around, and just enjoying nature. At the back of the property is May Brook Falls, a beautiful waterfall that sets the soundtrack to your stay. For many years, these cottages were privately owned and rarely rented. We were lucky enough to purchase all three in Early Spring 2021. Our goal is to provide small gatherings of guests with a comfortable private stay along the brook with all of the natural beauty Vermont has to offer.
The lake is mostly obscured from view in the summer by trees and a few RVs, but you are a 1 min. (or less) walk from the Pageant Park which sports a well maintained, sandy beach, and about a half mile from the state beach. Both locations have bathhouses and charge a small daily use fee.
We have completely renovated all three cottages. Enjoy an eclectic mix of antique furnishings along with new beds, bathrooms and kitchens, smart TV's and wifi! Check in is anytime after 4 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m.
Dogs are allowed, 1 per cabin. We ask that you please clean up after them.
After booking, we may reach out to finalize all details such as number of guests, in order to provide guests with the best possible stay.
More About The Cabins and the Area: Each cottage is equipped with a kitchen, making it easy to prepare meals, make a few drinks, and feed those hungry kids. Or, take the short drive (or walk) into town where 2 local restaurants offer a number of delicious options. Barton sports a school playground, a grocery store, a library, and a number of hiking opportunities. Or just relax at May Brook - the property features this beautiful waterway, and the picturesque waterfall that feeds it.

We had a great stay. The place was super cute, sparkling clean, and amazing location! We explored the area, and went every day to Crystal Lake beach with the pup merely steps away from our cabin.
Everything was to our liking. Great region! Great hosts!

Great little cabin!!! Very clean and everything we needed was available! Comfy beds, very nice screened in porch and nice shower with hot water! We loved having the windows open and not hearing cars going by…it being very quiet!
Cute and clean little cottage across from Crystal Lake. We stayed while visiting friends in the area. Check in was easy and our stay was lovely. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place, wonderful people & great area to visit. Wife and I stayed for four days. Sat by the lake, hit some breweries and simply relaxed at the cabin. I would stay again next week if work allowed.
Perfect quaint tiny house cottage with super location next to beach at lake! Fall foliage, waterfall, bubbling brook! Open grassy space, bbqs and fire pit seating! Private and cozy, yet easy trip to downtown! Yes!
My husband, dog and I had a great stay! The property is really beautiful with the falls and the lake across the street. And there are multiple fire pits and grills spaced out to accommodate groups staying in each cabin. We are used to staying at small/rustic places so I was impressed with how well appointed it was with plenty of clean towels, comfortable bedding, paper towels, soap, etc. The wifi works great too. Everything we needed and more!
Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Near Grocery, post office, bank and convenience store. Very close to entrance to beach entrance. Cabin clean, cozy. Screened porch for relaxing, puzzling or playing games. Hosts were pleasant and I formative. Would definitely book again.
Noah and Tabitha were wonderful hosts, especially since we stayed at the cottages during the Beryl rainstorm. They offered battery powered lanterns in case we lost power, gave us directions to road closings, and made our stay so much more comfortable with an extra fan and blow dryer. We would definitely stay there again. We only wish the weather had been better so that we could have enjoyed Crystal Lake, which is directly across the street from the cabins.
