Wonderful experience!
We arrived after dark and were greeted by a sky full of stars and the serenade of frogs and crickets. The cottage was perfect. It had everything we needed, was very clean and updated. In the morning we were greeted by Farmer Blaise and the farm dogs. We got a tour of the farm and met the animals (chickens, pigs, guineafowls, ducks and goats). The baby goats were our favorite! Farmer Blaise was super friendly and we loved helping him feed the animals. The location of the cottage was convenient to so many activities. We spent the days exploring (ziplining, gem mining, shopping and dining) and the evenings at the farm helping with the animals, relaxing and even had a bonfire one night. I highly recommend this experience! Bring a pair of boots or shoes and old clothing you can wear on the farm - you will get dirty if you were as hands on as we were! I am so glad we stayed here!

Unique experience and fantastic host
Unique farm stay and experience. We went with a family of 8 including toddlers and young adults and we all enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and has everything one could need for their stay. The house overlooks most of the farm and has great views of the mountains. The house is beautifully decorated and spacious. For a party of 8, we were very comfortable. Farmer Blaize was fantastic. My kids enjoyed seeing him every morning and afternoon when he would feed the animals. He invited my kids to help feed and they enjoyed the activity. Farmer Blaize was so patient with my kids and taught them a lot about the farm. The sourdough bread and eggs were a treat. I’ve never had a host be so gracious and hospitable. He texted us ideas to do on rainy day when we were rained in. He wanted us to have a good time. Location is great. Easy drive up the mountain. I’m from south Florida so driving mountains is not my thing and getting to the farm was easy in a 2 wheel drive. Just 12 minutes away from Publix grocery and only 17 minutes away from downtown Asheville. We loved the farm experience and would stay here again. Lots to do and see in the area. Only 30 minutes from one of the entrances to Blue Ridge Parkway. Weaverville downtown only 12 minutes away.

Not just a stay… it’s an experience
The stay itself was fantastic - the accommodations were super clean, newly renovated and furnished, comfortable furniture and bed, and very well decorated. I would compare it to a 4 star hotel in a long term stay format. The location is about 20 min easy/non-congested drive north of Asheville, close enough to do things in town. Our goal was also to do day hikes at various western Carolina landmarks like Mt Mitchell, Graveyard Falls, etc… and the location is perfect for it. Drive an hr or so to hit these areas while enjoying the scenic view of Blue Ridge Parkway, then enjoy dinner/evening in Asheville, and return to a quiet idyllic place for the night. Little did we know that our children ended up enjoying the farm way more than expected as the hosts will take us around the animals and garden, patiently explaining how the farm works, and allow them to help. The hosts, Blaise and Dina, are as hospitable as they come, and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. Interact as much or as little with the farm during your stay. The farm is kept well and there is no noticeable animal smells. Overall a wonderful experience, within a week of returning home, the children are already asking to go back again!
