Soar with the eagles of Vashon! Enjoy the most spectacular views of Colvos Passage and the westside wilderness while suspended over 200 feet above the water. The bright living spaces of this 3-story home have vaulted ceilings and walls of windows to capture a water view from every room. This 2800 square foot home offers large spaces for group gatherings both inside and outside the home as well as many "get away" spaces throughout the many floors, balconies, and decks for quiet, private time when desired. When you are done spying the wildlife from the balconies, you can traverse the path down to the water to enjoy over 100 feet of private "living" beach front with an elevated fire pit equipped with night lighting and electrical power.
This property boasts privacy and access to the pristine westside coastline accessible only to a scattering of shoreline homes. The mile wide and 330 foot deep Colvos Passage teams with marine life including Orca, dolphins, gray and humpback whales, barking sea lions, otters, eagles, heron, and schools of salmon during fishing season.
Though you may feel miles away from civilization in this home, downtown Vashon is only a 10 minute drive away and the ferries to Seattle, Tacoma, and western Washington are within a 30 min drive making this an opportune "home base" to launch an exploration of the entire Pacific Northwest.
The home can sleep 8 people with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen, 1 queen sleeper sofa), and 4 recently renovated bathrooms (3 full, 1 half bath). Full size dining tables are provided inside and outside the home.

This property was the perfect getaway for our group to celebrate my husband‘s birthday. House was well equipped, and the views cannot be beat. It’s quite the hike to the beach but well worth it when the tide is out.
This property is heaven on earth. What a beautiful place. The house is spacious and fully stocked. We could not have found a more perfect place to stay. The view was gorgeous. The place was super clean and our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for providing this property for our use. It was worth every penny.
The stay went amazing! My new husband, friends, and I were in town for our wedding and wanted to stay together in between the chaos of wedding weekend activities and everything went great. The rooms are spread out on to different floors so no on felt like they were hovering over each other. There was a bathroom on each floor so no one ever had to wait. The place has multiple decks for sitting and eating and enjoying each other’s company and we did just that since the weekend was so beautiful. Jeff was friendly and communicative to all our needs and a great host to his property. We would absolutely stay there again.
Overall the house was beautiful and the setting stunning. I was not able to have my disabled brother in law over because of the stairs. We enjoyed our time there. Did not spend enough time in the house to enjoy. One hiccup we had was VRBO charged us for infants as extra people. We had 6 adults and the home said it slept 8. The manager of the property was quick to take care of this for us and we are now waiting for a refund.
Woken up before 7 am with noisy landscapers with loud leaf blowers right outside bedroom window!

Sorry for the inconvenience Stefanos. Like we mentioned previously, we had no knowledge that the grounds keepers would arrive so early on that day, and per your request and going forward, we have asked them not to arrive before 9:00 am. Given the significant growth of the vegetation in the Pacific NW, the grounds keepers have to arrive weekly to keep the grounds looking fresh and clean. We certainly hope all the other facets of your stay were up to snuff.
The house and property are in a lovely woodland/waterfront setting.Views are amazing and available from any room or deck! Being on the hill makes you feel like you are living in an awesome tree house- one that comes with all the creature comforts-great kitchen, comfy bedrooms, lots of space to enjoy each other or have some private time. FireTVs allow for easy Switch or streaming setup. Really nice fire pit and waterside patio area. We took our paddle boards and loved exploring Colvos passage- saw harbor porpoises and hunted for shells and sea glass. Picnic lunch and swimming at KVI. Loved Hardware Store, Mays, Snap Dragon, O Solo Mio, Grannies, Treasure Island, Island Adventures Standard Goods. And Allyson Hopkins at Full Circle gives the best massage on the Island. Toys, games and legos at Thriftway and Pharmacy. We are definitely coming back! ❤️

Thank you Liane for your detailed review and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay and helped make your vacation a time to remember!
We had an incredible time at this home perched high on a densely wooded hillside overlooking Puget Sound. From this elevation, we could see eagles flying below us and sea lions sunbathing in the water! The home sits near the end of a very quiet country road offering lots of privacy. The beach was all ours and offered long walks along the island's living seashore - must have walked 4 miles without seeing another person. Furniture looks mostly new and comfortable. Two TV's and two sunrooms overlooking the water and large Douglas Fur trees. Waterfront has a raised fire pit with lounge seating and lighting - very relaxing to sit and watch the boats sail by. Also with close proximity to downtown Vashon, Seattle, and western Washington made traveling and sightseeing easy. A nice, secluded getaway that is still close to so much. Only downside was one of the electric stove burners did not work, but the other 3 worked just fine. Enjoyed talking with Emily as well who took care of us and answered all our questions. Hope to see you again soon!
My extended family (grandparents included) stayed at this property over the long 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful time. We only spent mornings and evenings at the house and enjoyed the pretty views of Colvos Passage from practically every room. Lots of space and all the essentials there for cooking … especially happy to see food storage containers for leftovers and for chopped veggies and fruits.
Overall great stay, however as this is a new VRBO rental would suggest the following:
- Vacuum before guests arrive (Vashon is rural so we did have to vacuum as several dozen dead ants throughout house ~ did not detract from stay as we have cabin on the island and know this is part of it but quick vacuum would have been appreciated.)
- Have beds already made upon arrival or just add to listing that guest will have to put sheets on beds.
- Add hand soap to bathrooms or let guests know to bring their own hand soap. (Quick trip to Thriftway to get this, so nothing that wasn’t easily fixed but would have been nice to have upfront.)
Other than these small things, would highly recommend this place ~ you will NOT be disappointed, it’s a gem.

Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback, Nicole.
As the person responsible for the condition of this wonderful home, I owe you and your family an apology Nicole. Suffice it to say the person who charged for 8 hours of cleaning has been replaced with a crack team.
As a newcomer in the field of vrbo management, I mistakenly assumed guests would be glad to know their sheets were unused and clean by placing them folded on the beds. I won't make that assumption again! We also wanted to avoid the waste of partially used bar soaps and instead supplied bottled liquid soaps.
I’ve never seen any ants in the home. Would you be so kind as to message me with the type of ants and where you saw them?
I hope my missteps won't affect your decision to stay with us in the future. We can and will improve our level of service.
