Fantastic holiday base

The house was just as the pictures and served as the perfect base for our holiday. The outdoor space was amazing for our family of 5 and I think we only went inside to sleep!! We would certainly recommend the place for anyone visiting this beautiful part of Florida.

Lots of issues!

I do not like leaving negative reviews but this vacation felt more like work than a vacation and I wouldn’t want someone else to rent it without knowing what they’re walking into! - There are electrical issues with the spa- light flickers while on (probably a short somewhere) - The owner controls the spa and does not allow much access to use it, I had to message the property manager for two days to be able to use it for 4 hours a day that was all they would allow! - They have a terrible ant problem, we had to go buy spray and still all got bit! - We had to fix 4 doors including the front door so they shut properly and would lock - Palm trees need to be pruned- we had to cut one of them back so it was not blocking the sidewalk down to the dock for safety reasons! - AC stopped working- we had to unclog the outside drain line as well as climb in the attic and shop vac out the drain pan to get it back working - closet bi-fold door had to be adjusted because it was hanging off and we were concerned about it falling on our daughters - The house doesn’t have enough hot water to use the jacuzzi in the master bathroom, making it useless! - There are no pool toys or floats etc. so if you would like them you will need to bring your own Very sad to have all of these issues especially for the price you pay, The home is beautiful but too many issues.

Hi Tracy, thank you for your review. We agree with you - the home is beautiful, but we are very surprised and sorry to hear all of this. We have had guests stay at this home before you, and none have ever mentioned any of these items to us. So this is the first time we are hearing about these issues that you experienced. Upon inspecting the home, we always check that doors are shutting and locking properly, and can confirm that this is not an issue. The front door certainly shuts and locks properly- so we are not sure what you had experienced, but wish that you told us about this issue at the time you had experienced it, because we have never had this issue before, nor do we at the moment. The hot water and AC work perfectly fine, and we can confirm this. To use the spa, guests can simply let us know what times of the day they would prefer to use it, and we are happy to accommodate it and make sure that it turns on during that time frame. Please keep in mind this is also how we can keep your cost lower to rent, and still not have to charge guests an extra electricity fee. We appreciate you understanding!
