Private Peaceful Home on Beautiful Cowichan Lake

Enjoy a peaceful, tranquil week at our lakeshore home located on the south side of beautiful Cowichan Lake. Our Non-Smoking home is just one hour north of Victoria and 45 minutes south of Nanaimo.

You and your family can enjoy a week of rest and relaxation on the beaches of Cowichan Lake - the sun shines all day on this south facing property. Property also has a dock to tie your boat up. There are many activities to try while staying here including but not limited to boating, canoeing, swimming, hiking, or enjoy a relaxing and scenic tube ride down beautiful Cowichan River. Cowichan Valley has many local wineries to explore. There are no shortage of hiking or mountain biking trails. Enjoy the sunset from on our deck. Our home is located near boat launch, two convenience stores, video store, neighbourhood pub, and waterfront park. March Meadows Golf Course is nearby.

The Cowichan Lake is great for fishing and is close to Port Renfrew or Nitnat if you like ocean fishing.

Another wonderful vacation at Doug & Staci's

From check in to check out and everything in-between it was another wonderful experience. Coffee on the sun deck overlooking the lake in the mornings and evenings was a great start and end to our day! The cabin is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable too! A great getaway!

The highlight of our vacation was the view of the lake, it was spectacular! We spent most of our time on the covered deck or the dock. We fished, swam and floated, it was a extremely relaxing vacation.

Great Lake, nice property

This has been a very nice location and family stay for some days directly at Lake Covichan. Staci and Doug were easy and reliable to communicate with. Unfortunately, there was no boat rental to discover the lake. more intensively

Family Relaxation

Booked last October, stayed in August 2024. Property is beautiful with all the amenities of a house that feels like a cabin. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered deck with its many seating areas. When it was chilly we were able to sit indoors to play games in the evening. The wharf was lovely for swimming and had enough room to dock our boat. It would be helpful to include in the listing that the third bedroom is its own cabin separated from the main house. My sister stayed out there and did have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom in the main house. This might pose a problem for some groups depending on their configuration. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. Thank you to Staci & Doug for sharing their home. Nicole & family

We were lucky to head to Lake Cowichan during a snow storm. What a cozy space and a beautiful view to hole up for a few days. Kitchen was well appointed for groups.

Beautiful serene home on Lake Cowichan

This place was spotlessly clean, warm and inviting and everything you need to have a great stay. The dock was super to moor our boat. The lake was warm and so beautiful. Did I mention the view? I highly recommend staying here. Memories will last a lifetime.
