Sekoya Sancturary offers a new free standing spilt level home nestled into a serene redwood forest. The home is private, offering a calm and meditative environment, yet close to town. Sekoya Sanctuary is great for a romantic get away or family vacation as we are close to beaches and both state and National forests. The local area offers wonderful farmer’s markets, a multitude of restaurants and endless local beaches. Please ask about pricing for a longer stay if that is of interest.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely furnished, clean and the kitchen has a lot of extras. We loved the big redwoods around the house and the privacy of the quiet location. Elizabeth was helpful and gave clear information on getting there and getting in the house, etc. No problems at all.

Our family really enjoyed staying here. The house is adorable, well stocked and clean. The host had wonderful communication.For some reason our GPS was a little wonky and never directed us to the correct address but it was easy enough to find, phone service was a little spotty on the way up.We should definitely stay here again!

The property is tranquil, surrounded by redwood trees. The kitchen is well appointed in its selection of pots, pans, utensils and containers. If you like serene stillness, this is the place for you. The host is responsive and attentive and a very nice person!!!

This is a great location up in the hills among the redwoods and perfect for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. The house is clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The back deck is perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning or a beverage after a long day of exploring.The host was super responsive and friendly. Even though we didn't need much it was nice to know she was there if anything came up.I'd definitely look to stay here again the next time I'm visiting the area.

The ideal vacation renta!! Conveniently located near Eureka, Arcata, Ferndale, Founder’s Grove, Moonstone Beach, Sue-Mef etc. Perfect size for our family (and dog) and beautifully located amongst a forest of redwoods and ferns. View from windows and back patio were green and lush. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and basic pantry items. Elisabeth, our amazing hostess (aka our fairy godmother) was hospitable, easy to reach and had lots of recommendations. She even offered to deliver our food order from a local pizzeria. We would come back every month if we lived closer! Hope to come back again!

What a perfect location! The serenity and solitude is so good for the soul. Such luxurious linens, and Elisabeth is kind and genuinely caring. It was so good meeting her when we arrived. The home had everything we needed and more, Elisabeth went over and beyond.

Absolutely loved the home and location! The house was cozy, inviting, and well stocked. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. We loved walking in the trees and sitting on the porch. Elisabeth made the check in and check out process super easy. Our only disappointment was that we were only there for a day.!

I love the peace and quiet of this property in the majestic redwood trees. Sekoya Sanctuary offers the feel of rural Humboldt county, yet is located close to town and local activities, restaurants and shopping.

What makes this property unique

This is a private home in the redwood forest. It is a quiet spot to rest and meditate and cook a good meal. I have even heard spotted owls in the forest here.
