About this property
Paradise..Million Dollar View From Oceanfront Lanai!
This third floor piece of Paradise has the most fantastic oceanfront view you will ever see. Lauloa means 'long wave' and when you sit on the lanai you will understand how it was named. Look across the bay to Mt. Haleakela, Makenna Point Waialea and Kihei.
Dusk from the lanai is truly an artist's palette. The sky turns shades of pink as the sun sets. During the day you'll see the deepest of blues and occasionally a puffy white cloud will appear. The view of the sunrise over Mt. Haleakela is equally awe inspiring.
In the winter during the day and into the evening whales play in the waters right off shore and year-round sea turtles are often spotted right near shore out front.
In the summer and fall when the swells come in from the south you can often catch surfers right out front riding the freight train wave...supposedly the fastest breaking wave in the world!
Your stay here will go on for ever and ever in your mind! Two bedrooms and baths, bamboo floors, fully equipped kitchen with a washer/dryer right in the condo so you can save that space in the suitcase for all the memories you'll want to bring home. Enjoy the updates and improvements made by the owners on their annual trip to Maui...new furniture this year.
The bathrooms have widened doorways (36' and 32') for wheelchair accessibility. Both bathrooms have new vanities with granite counter tops and new storage cabinets. The Master Bath also includes a new all tile roll in shower that everyone will appreciate, not just wheelchair users. The walls and floors are also redone with beautiful new tile, and there is also new lighting.
The condo property is impeccable. Lush plantings, a water garden, lobby with chairs that enable you to sit, relax and read a book from the condo library. The lobby opens to a swimming pool, barbecue and many chairs to just lounge your day away.

The apartment is exactly as described it is very clean and well accommodating. We loved staying there saw multiple turtles a day and it was nice to be away from all of the busy tourist area but yet five minute walk to the marina and shops there
Great location, clean, quiet, beautiful view from lanai, lots of room. We walked our beach and saw several turtles and whales from our lanai. I would definitely recommend it. Loved the stay and would stay there again. The host was very prompt with replies and very attentative to our needs.
Good location on the island. Condo was super clean. Amazing view! Loved to see the sea turtles just off the sea wall. Great spot as home base for our week in Maui. Barbara gave us a ton of information on restaurants and things to do. She was helpful and responsive. Pool area was good, usually had it to ourselves.
Property is clean, well maintained and the unit was very nice. Need to do a better job of showing what the beach right there is and is not and how there are very nice nearby beaches.

Aloha and thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed your stay! All the beaches in the state of Hawaii are open to the public even ones in front of hotels and public access parking is required. They are all beautiful. The beach at the end of of our dead end street is about a 20 minute walk or 5 second drive. It’s 5 miles long and the longest walking beach on Maui.
There is no beach in front of the condo but steps that go down to the water for surfing, snorkeling and diving.
The condo was spacious and comfortable. Barbara was very responsive and appropriately addressed a couple of minor issues. The view was absolutely amazing and we got to watch whales playing in the Bay from our lanai. I appreciated that this was not such a busy part of the island, and shopping and restaurants were a 10-15 minute drive. There is a sweet little beach just a short walk from the condo that is not at all crowded. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a perfect location for a restful weeklong trip with my parents. We had beautiful views of the water, could see turtles from the lanai, a short walk to the beach, and a quick convenient drive to many locations. The mirrors on the lanai gave even more expansive views of the waterfront- a simple thing with a big impact. Well stocked with beach equipment-an added convenience. Also, we had rental car battery issues one day and the onsite manager was so kind and jumped the car battery for us so we could a 2 hour wait for AAA. Would definitely stay here again!
Very nice appartement, all utensilities for the stay, only downside: cleanliness (clothes from previous guests under bed) and sharp edge of glass covered table in living room. Very kind agent, very quiet, very comfortable. Absolutely recommend!

trip review
Great location and very comfortable with a great view. Second bedroom had no privacy, especially when the window was open to allow for the trade winds.
Our contact Barbara Potopowitz was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive, professional and had great attention to detail. I will endeavor to work with her on future trips to Mauai.
The property was clean and well maintained and I look forward to staying there again. The property is in close proximity and walking distance to good eating places. I recommend The Waterfront Restaurant for a fine dinner experience. We enjoyed eating breakfast at Beach Bums.

Aloha...good news...plantation shutters have been installed in the guest bedroom for the ultimate in privacy. Thanks for the suggestion!
This place was exactly how it looked in pictures. The lanai over looks the sun rise over the ocean and Haleakala. A very well stocked kitchen with amenities as well as a lot of useful equipment in the closets. The neighborhood was quiet but easily in the middle of anything you wanted to do on the island. The unit was clean when we arrived and fully functional so never had to call for any service. The master bed does only have ab sliding door off the living room and there are no blackout curtains and once the sun is up, it is bright in the front rooms but so lovely.
The condo was amazing, and Barbara was the best! We had to cancel our trip in August 2020 due to Covid. Barbara let me move my dates to May 2021 with no problem. She also was very helpful and kept us informed on everything we needed to know before our arrival. Barbara left snacks for us in the refrigerator for our arrival. We very much appreciated this considering how tired we were when we arrived. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our 15 day stay. She even had beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a cooler in the condo. We cannot thank Barbara enough for the use of her beautiful condo❤️
We stayed for 6 weeks from end of December to first week of February and enjoyed minute. The location is perfect for getting to all parts of the island easily. When you rent this location you are renting for the location and views, don't expect a five star hotel as the condo is a bit outdated, but livable. There is no beach in front of the complex, but they have a pool and there are steps down to the water to enter for snorkeling right in front of the complex. If you want to be on a beach it is a short 5 minute walk down the street to a wonderful beach. Within walking distance is a harbor where you have a few restaurants, and shops to visit. If you are staying December thru March you will see plenty of whales from the lanai. Everyday we saw turtles feeding off the rocks in front of the complex. Barbara the host was a pleasure to work with. There were beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler. I would definitely stay here again. You are only 15 minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart.

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Generally good
4 star location to me because it was water front and quiet
Condo was clean but very old- the only updated was master bath
Front door lock worked most of the time
Trouble with sound on TV- reported to mgr - she said they fixed it but they didn’t
Kitchen had a ton of dishes, 15 knives but none were sharp enough to cut anything
We tried to check in early and the housekeeping staff freaked out and the property manager was very rude about it. It was not a very good Aloha to start on
Other than that the week was fun. It was fun to see the turtle in the water in front from our lanai. Sunrise was beautiful everyday

Aloha, sorry to hear we couldn't satisfy these guests. It's very clear that the check in time is 4 PM from the listing to the bolded text on the check in details. These guests blatantly ignored this, arrived early afternoon when a guest just left late morning, tried to move in with their luggage while cleaner was cleaning, went into the kitchen to make drinks and was irate when told to come back at 4. Handyman was sent twice to address concerns on door lock, which was never a problem with any previous guests, and TV sound and found nothing wrong.
We addressed all their calls for need and tried to help them enjoy their stay. Will check on the knives as this was the first someone brought that to our attention.
We saw whales most days from our balcony, condo complex is small, just 48 units, nice pool (I had it to myself many days), but it's all sun, no shade. We were surprised there were no premium channels on TV. You can't see whales at night, TV program times in Hawaii are all over the place (either hours earlier or at a completely different time of day), so in the evening there's nothing to watch. The condo itself is just average, and along with a few other minor problems, we wouldn't stay at this unit again. The view, however, can't be beat, and whale sightings were amazing!

Aloha and thanks for the review. Just a few clarifications. The sun moves during the day so where there's sun in the morning, there's shade in the afternoon.
The condo building has a contract with the condo association to provide basic cable that includes about 50 selections, including music. Many say sitting on the lanai looking out at and hearing the ocean is the best premium channel!
All ocean animals are protected by laws and regulations. This includes the whales. Not only do boats need to keep their distance, there are lighting laws as well for their protection. So there are no spotlights or such shinning on the ocean at night. You can hear them breaching though.
I've lived here 15 years and have been able to watch TV shows through the night if wanted. There is an adjustment at first to timing as favorite shows may be an hour off used to on the mainland, but there's a TV guide when you turn on the TV that gives you all that information.
And yes, the view and whale sighting and turtles at the waters edge are amazing!
Aloha, Barbara, Condo Manager.
The condo was very clean and had amazing views. You definitely need to have a car when staying here as it is a car ride to get to a bigger grocery store. There are some little shops close by but they don’t have a great inventory. I did ask the manager to check in an hour early as our flight had been changed and we landed at 930 so it was a long period of time til 4pm and had groceries but was told no. The cleaner was there at 10 am so it was definitely finished by 3. A little flexibility goes a long way to help weary travelers.
The kitchen had tons of dishes, pots and pans etc. Just know that there is basically salt and pepper but not much else.

Aloha Julie glad you enjoyed your stay. So sorry we couldn't offer an earlier check in. We had a guest leave at 11 that morning and to ensure a clean and sanitized condo for all guests we need to take the time to fully clean and sanitize the condo including the laundry. It's a juggling act sometimes between air schedules and accommodation schedules. We do what others may consider a deep clean between each guest and that's what takes the time and gets us good comments on our cleanliness.
Again, for food safety we take out any open food items including condiments.
Thanks for the feedback.
Aloha, Barbara
This condo is everything it claims to be. The views are amazing and the condo was very accommodating. This area is very windy, and in the middle of July we rarely used the air conditioning. We just opened the windows and the air flowed through the entire place. We noticed a huge difference in how comfortable we were in Maalaea compared to Lahaina. The wind definitely helps. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans and utensils, and the washer and dryer worked great. The sunrises were amazing every morning, and we could see turtles from the balcony swimming in the water. The whole area is very quiet and the complex itself is well maintained, but also not far from anywhere you want to go on the island. We found it easy to drive many different places, and shopping was only 20-25 minutes away. We are definitely planning on returning. Barbara was so helpful and a pleasure to work with.
Maui is in need of tourists! Everyone was so gracious and thanked us for coming. We almost canceled our trip due to the devastating wild fires but we were encouraged by many people to keep our plans in place. We are glad we listened to the voices of reason.
Our property manager Barbara was one of those voices of reason. She was great about texting us regarding the situation, and encouraged us to not switch to another island-Maui needed our visit for revenue.
The condo was exactly what we expected-quiet with a beautiful view of Maalaea Bay. We watched turtles swimming by the sea wall, long wave surfers, as well as snorkelers and scuba divers while sitting on our lanai.
We did NOT go to the west side, there was plenty to do in other areas, and we felt that going to the west side would be disrespectful.
Maui swap meet was up and running and in need of more shoppers.
We made reservations at restaurants even though at that time they really weren’t needed due to lack of tourists BUT we wanted the staff to know we were coming in case they needed to close due to lack of customers.
Visit this beautiful island BUT PLEASE do it respectfully! Drive the speed limit! Be gracious! Remember they are all dealing with a great loss still.
Mahalo Maui! We will be back!

Amazing ocean views!
Our party of six adults stayed in this condo for ten days. We liked the location and found it conveniently located within 30 min's of everything. We loved the lanai views and enjoyed our coffee here every morning. The new beds were comfortably firm and appointed with wonderful linens. The kitchen had all the kitchenware we could want and the baths were spacious with plenty of hot water & towels.
For those few hot nights we appreciated having air conditioning, but most of the time we left the lanai door open. (Yes, the mosquitoes did find a way in!) We had the pool to ourselves and often we were the only ones to use the grill. We found the residents we met were friendly and eager to share their Maui stories. One told us about snorkeling right in front of the complex and yes, we saw amazing sea turtles!
You'll find this condo a little tired but sun filled and homey. Some of the appliances and cabinets (and the uncomfortable futon) need replacing. However you can tell the owners are working hard to update everything and replace what really counts. Barbara is great about answering your reservation questions. She patiently worked with us until we were satisfied we found the right condo for our vacation. And since she was out of town while we were staying in Maui, she had Jan, the housekeeper, address any of our concerns. Jan was amazing and whenever we needed something she was quick to return our calls. Thanks again Jan for all of your help!!
Mahalo to the owners for sharing your home in paradise with us!

Aloha so glad we were able to help you with your Maui vacation. This condo is wonderful and you are right....the owners constantly improve every trip they take here!
Overall very nice property. Location is a mixed bag--not too far from anything (South/Kihei, Haleakala, airport, Kaanapali), but have to drive to get anywhere of note. Porch is the best thing--wonderful view, and sheltered from sun and wind. Condo itself overall is nice. Spotless, and well equipped. Appreciate that master bedroom has sliding door access to open into main area--improves the feeling of spaciousness. However, wish the sliding door was made out of more than paper, as it gives no acoustic privacy. Mattresses are on the soft side, not necessarily a pro or con. Only 2 small beach chairs--wish there were enough for a regular party of 4.
Great location, convenient to everywhere. Condo had everything we needed for our stay. It was great that essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, sponge, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent were provided. The beach umbrella, chairs, towels and cooler were great for days on the beach allowing us to pack lunches and drinks. Will definitely stay here again when we return.
Mahalo,
The Costas
This was our first time staying at this property. It was great! The place was clean and it was convenient to everything. The sunrise view was awesome. We would stay here again.
