About this property

Desi's Hill Country Hideaway

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Plenty of room for large families. Privacy fenced yard in back. Fire pit, Pergola and patio.

Our place is an older two-story home with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths.

We are striving to improve the place by adding additional amenities as we go.

Visit the local shops in town or play on the Nueces at the pay to use spots or try the local free areas.

Please see below for private access to our family ranch river location. This is not a waterfront property.

The house contains large living room and dining areas. The full kitchen also has sitting and table space. The two upstairs bedrooms are spacious and contain plenty of room for your comfort. The master bedroom is located downstairs middle of the house. The large rear bedroom has plenty of sitting space to watch tv and relax.

The large back yard contains plenty open space to sit, relax and BBQ. It has a large, covered patio, Pergola, and a fire pit. It is also privacy fenced.

LONG TERM RENTAL IS AVAILABLE BY REQUEST. INQUIRE FOR DETAILS.

Please mind the stairs and watch your head. Since this is an older home, the stairs are a little steep.



Security cameras are in place for safety and security purposes only. They are on the outside of the house ONLY.

Please keep pets off the furniture and clean up any outdoor/indoor messes that they may make. If you are going to leave your pet alone while staying, please make sure they are crated while your away. Please bring all necessary items with you for your pets, including food/water dishes, crates, and sanitary supplies. Note: If you bring a pet with you and it isn't on your reservation list, I will be sending you a request for the fee of the pet.

Please pick up any outdoor pet waste and dispose of.

The place was great, however it listed there was a hot tub and patio furniture. The patio consisted of a large card table. For the price I expected more. All in all the place is clean and as described excluding hot tub. The host was very quick to respond and check in waa simple.

Teen’s Birthday

Desi’s Hideaway was the highlight of our vacation. We had several incidents throughout the weekend, the only light at the end of the tunnel was returning to our home away from home. Then to top it off, our hosts took time out of their day to aid our family members, that were not even guests of theirs. My wife’s family reunion in in Camp Wood, so there were uncles and cousins everywhere. They got two trucks stuck by the river and our hosts were awesome enough to help get them unstuck and get them a reasonable mechanic. I would definitely recommend Desi’s Hideaway for a great weekend!

Perfect location!

Convenient to shopping as well as the recreational areas, this in town house was wonderful for our family! The beds were so comfy, the large kitchen has everything you need. And the open dining/living room is perfect for keeping the family altogether, while eating or playing games. The back yard area is amazing with a beautiful fire pit and nice grill. Be warned, the water in the listing is not very close to the house, we did not drive out. We spent most of our time at the damn and the public River Road crossing just down the street, but the owner was very accommodating, offering to set up a canopy and chairs should we wish to go. Next time we will! Thank you Desi for a delightful stay!
