We had a relaxing long weekend here. A very comfortable base from which we visited Ledges Trial in Cuyahoga National Park, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland’s museums. The place is very thoughtfully furnished. A home away from home.
This was a lovely house with plenty of space to spread out and comfortable common areas. The mattresses on both the queen bed upstairs and the fold out cot downstairs were fantastic.
Fantastic location in a peaceful neighborhood. Mary has carefully made sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication is excellent. We enjoyed stepping back in time with the decor, games, and records available. This is our third visit, and we'll definitely return.
The professionalism that was displayed at this VRBO home was astounding! NO DETAIL was forgotten. Reading this will make you feel at home and cared for. Truly we cannot thank the host enough.
The property was well maintained, very clean and had lots of amenities to make you feel at home. It was about 30 minutes from downtown but had a secluded country feel. The host was readily available to help with a door lock problem which didn’t affect our stay at all. Would stay here again if in the Cleveland area!!
This house was so peaceful! Mary has added the perfect touches to feel comfortable relaxing there, with everything you may need. Mary was very responsive and made sue the light was on as I was arriving after sunset.Certainly will come back again when in town visiting family!
It was fantastic. It was cozy and the decor just added to the charm. The windows at the back of the guesthouse were the cherry on top. The location is great Willoughby is the cutest town. We came from Texas and there was actually a snow storm while we were up there and our lovely hosts provided us with a shovel. Our host was the best, she answered every single question every time in a timely fashion. She even got the place ready for us to arrive a day early because I messed up on the booking and timing. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Our stay at the guest house in Kirtland was very nice. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood. And a short drive to Cleveland or the shores of lake Erie. The house was very clean on our arrival. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The host Mary was very heplful and told us of some local parks and restaurants in the area. I would recommend it for a long weekend.
This place was perfect for our weekend stay. My partner and I came into town for a wedding. The guest house is very clean and decorated well! They had everything we needed and more and were very nice!
Charming home that is even cuter than the pictures online. The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. We saw deer walked through the backyard and owls in the trees. The house is so well taken care of and has everything you could need.

Great character in secluded quiet neighborhood. All amenities provided for.Only drawback, and it is temporary, is bridge on main road being closed. Difficult to get around at first.
Absolutely adorable little mcm home ! Area was quiet, comfortable and easy to access.
Hosts were great and accommodating for a late night check in after a long day of travel.
Highly recommend this cute little hideaway
The house had just the right amount of character. It was unique, outfitted well, bed was comfortable, and we loved the screened in porch. Mary was super accessible and a delight to deal with. We would definitely visit again.

About the host
Hosted by Mary Lintern
Hi, I'm Mary! I am a full time National Park Ranger, and an American history and decorative arts enthusiast. My husband Dave and I are both Northeast Ohio natives. We look forward to welcoming you.
Why they chose this property
Our property is located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood with eclectic homes, hilly streets, and multiple cul-de-sacs. Perfect for people who enjoy walks and nature.
What makes this property unique
The guest house was built in 1957 as a pediatrician's office. It was designed by the doctor's husband who was an architect. The couple lived in the adjacent house, now occupied by hosts (me and my husband). A totem pole carved with various medical signs still stands next to the parking lot-style driveway.
Much of the integrity of the original Danish Modern structure still exists, from the wood beamed vaulted ceiling with "spaghetti" finish to the ceramic tile bathrooms with original sinks and bathtub. The house has been furnished with some authentic mid-century pieces and other era-inspired pieces. Many of the appliances are new but designed to look retro. We hope you will have fun taking a trip down memory lane and enjoy the funky lamps, cool artwork, and other little treasures from the 50s, 60s, and 70s waiting for you to discover.
