GREAT FAMILY RETREAT TIME IN THE NORTH GEORGIA MOUNTAINS OF BLUE RIDGE

DOGWOOD RETREAT - **Spacious Cabin** Surrounded by beautiful oak trees with dogwoods scattered in, this 6-bedroom 3-bath cabin will accommodate up to 13 guests. The main level of the cabin offers 3 bedrooms one with a King which we call the Master and has a King bed with adjoining bathroom with Shower and Jacuzzi Tub, the other 2 offers Queen beds with a bathroom to share. The downstairs area will give you a large family room with another gas log fireplace and a Flat screen TV with a Pool Table for enjoying your family time. There are 3 more bedrooms with one room containing 2 double full beds another with a Queen and the 6th bedroom has a Bunk Bed which has a full bed on the bottom with the bunk above. There is a bathroom there to be shared with these bedrooms. Dogwood it a fantastic place for church retreat groups or for your summer rafting trips. The Ocoee River is located only minutes away from the cabin where you can enjoy a day on the river with Whitewater Rafting. The easy access paved community offers beautiful mountain views around. When you enter the front door, you are welcomed by the beautiful stone fireplace with gas burning logs. There is seating for 8 at the dining room table with extra seating at the bar stools. The fully furnished kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your family meals. Park Style Charcoal Grill located in the Firepit area is provided, where you can grill your hamburgers or Steaks. Bring your own Charcoal. The large decks on the back of the cabin offer a peaceful place, you can also enjoy the Beautiful Fire Pit Area where your family can roast Hot Dogs or make s'mores' as you enjoy family time around a roaring fire. Enjoy reading in the quietness of the surrounding woods or just watching and listening to nature at this peaceful cabin. The cabin was perfect for the amount of people we had. This trip was for my Mother In Love who is battling Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She wanted a Family Mountain Trip and that is what she got. Thank you for allowing us into your cabin!

Couple of issues

Overall the cabin was ok. Before getting to the cabin I received alot of paperwork with alot of instructions and you would think with all the specific instructions that they want you to follow things would have been top notch. So first let me start by saying with all the money that it took to rent this place I expected close to perfection. The place definitely needs a top to bottom cleaning. There was alot of dust all over the cabin. The main bathroom had mold in the shower and on the shower head. I found myself doing alot of cleaning. Both grills, patio table, and all outdoor chairs were dirty. I had to clean all of that as well. There spiders and bugs everywhere, literally on the ceiling and falling down into the bed, they were on the walls and floors. We ended up using all of the bug spray that they had. It was obvious that an exterminator hadn't been there in a while. Also as much as this cabin cost to rent, you would that think each bedroom would have a tv in it. Cabin is close to neighbors who were not friendly and its a bit of a ride to nearby Blue Ridge.

The cabin was perfect for our girls weekend. Our arrival was too late to pick up keys so management worked with us. Location was convenient for our planned activities. We would definitely recommend. I would recommend bringing some extra blankets, there were no comforters on the beds, only a lightweight blanket.

Overall this cabin was amazing. We enjoyed our stay and everything was great the view, the house it was amazing. The only thing I could’ve maybe asked was if they provided more towels and toilet paper. But overall it was a beautiful cabin and a amazing stay. We had so much fun and we will be back!

Christmas Vacation 2018

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was very large and there is plenty of space to spread out. The road getting to the house was very well maintained and is paved. Very easy to get to and the drive way is very easy to get in and out of. The ice maker leaked the entire time we were there. We placed a towel down so the water didn't ruin the floors. This must be an on going problem because I noticed another renter mention a problem with the ice maker. There were several light blubs that were out and needed to be replaced. There are lights in the kitchen that are up underneath the cabinets, be careful because they become very hot and will burn you. Upon arrival,there was a fire detector that the battery was low and continuously beeped in the living room. We had to replace the battery because my niece who has sensory issues couldn't be in the living room area where the beeping was happening. My 70 year old disabled father and my 79 year old aunt were unable to go down stairs due to how steep the staircase is. It is a very long and steep staircase. Keep that in mind if you will have older folks traveling with you. There are signs everywhere telling you, you will be charged if something is moved, broken, ruined,ect. It made it hard to relax because you were worried you were going to charged. We did have an issue with the alarm system right as we arrived and the property managers helped us resolve the issue quickly. When we were departing we noticed a car sitting and waiting at the top of the driveway. We still had an hour before we had to be out. It was a little unsettling to say the least. As we pulled out, the car pulled in right behind us. It was the cleaning lady and my husband confronted her. We have rented many places all over the country and we have never seen this before. She claimed the next renter had arrived at 7am and wanted to check into the cabin. We didn't find this very professional. She did apologize to us. We did enjoy our stay and the fire pit and hot tube were perfect.
