About the host
Hosted by Brittanie
We took a quiet, aging building and rebuilt it piece by piece—upgrading the infrastructure, restoring the rooms, and shaping each space with intention. Rather than creating a uniform hotel, we focused on making rooms that feel personal, calm, and thoughtfully designed.
As a family-run property, we’re involved in every detail—from maintenance and design to how guests are welcomed. Our goal has always been simple: create a place where people can truly rest, work, or reset while visiting Charleston.

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it’s practical, central, and grounded in real Charleston life. It’s close to downtown, beaches, and major routes, but removed from the congestion and noise that can make a stay feel rushed or impersonal.
Guests appreciate being able to move easily around the city while returning to a quieter place at night. The area reflects Charleston beyond the tourist layer—local, lived-in, and relaxed.

What makes this property unique
When you book a full unit at The Drift, you’re getting a private, self-contained space designed to function as a complete home base.
Each unit includes 6–7 individually designed rooms, giving groups the rare ability to stay together while still having personal space and quiet. This setup works especially well for families, small teams, and longer stays where comfort and flexibility matter.
The building has been thoughtfully renovated beyond surface updates, with attention to safety systems, infrastructure, and durability—so larger groups can stay comfortably without feeling like they’re in a converted short-term rental.
What guests value most is the balance:
• Shared space for gathering
• Private rooms for rest and work
• A calm, cohesive environment rather than a party-style property
It’s an ideal option for groups who want privacy, consistency, and a well-run place to land while visiting Charleston.
