About Jeff Smith
My first trip to Pittsburg was New Years Eve 2001. I have been snowmobiling in the area since then and decided to purchase my own place in 2011.
Why Jeff Smith chose Pittsburg
Moose Camp offers direct access to the trails and has direct lake frontage. Enjoy the rustic setting of an authentic log cabin with a wood stove.
What makes this Cabin unique
I have been snowmobiling since I was a kid and I have found the trail system in Pittsburg to have the best groomed trails and the most access to gas and restaurants. You can park your truck in my driveway and not have to start it again until you go home. There are not many camps in the area that offer this privilege. With your ATV, it's just a short ride from the driveway, along the side of the road to the trailhead, starting your adventure to Jericho State Park.

Great location and views !
Great spot to relax in Pittsburg, admire the awesome sunsets over Back Lake, and convenient to the main highway and Rainbow Grille.
Lakeside Tranquility...peace and quiet !!!
Wow, better than expected, my wife and I (mid 50's) came up for a couple of days to try and spot a Moose, this is a perfect location for that and plenty of trails for ATV riding and snowmobiling in the winter. we have never used this service before and it was very easy and Jeff was quick with a reply if I had a question. The area around the cabin is so quiet that at night or early in the morning when we were watching and listening for Moose we could actually hear a leaf drop out of a tree, amazing to hear. The cabin was well stocked for anything we needed, all the necessities like coffee maker etc. Beds were comfy, loft area has 3 twin beds that would be good for kids and 2 bedrooms on the main floor. We sat by the firepit (which is like 10 feet from Back Lake) at night and listened to the Loons. Would definitively stay here again if we ever venture up that far again, its over 4 hours with no stops? but would love to stay in the summer and do some canoeing, the place next door rents out small motorboats but we were only there for 3 days and we were on a mission. Thanks for the hospitality Jeff. Kevin and Dawn from Newburyport, Ma.
Perfect lake spot
Right on the lake. Lots of loons. Kayaking and hiking galore. Cabin had rustic charm. Bed was comfortable. We even saw a moose while kayaking.
Cute little cottage, great view of Back Lake and all the birds that live there.
Great photo opportunities, ATV trails very accessible! A little small for 7 people, but doable. Family had a great time panning in the Indian River.
Cabin is located on quiet road . There is ATV access located along side the road , right past the driveway. Also enjoy moose watching and the annual moose festivle. Wildlife is everywhere. Back Lake is well known for the best trout fishing in the state.
