About this property

Casablanca de Olmito Historic home from the 1920s

Historic home built in the 1920's has two buildings overlooking your own pool and private resort style amenities. House is 1.5 miles from Resaca de las Palmas birding center, 30 miles from Space X and 45 miles from South Padre Island. Located 5 miles outside of Brownsville; a total of 8 beds with 6 bedrooms and 4-1/2 baths. Huge enclosed back yard for dogs, come stay at this beautiful estate for the experience.
The space
This absolutely stunning and attractive home is a glimpse in the past. Erect for over 100 years this established home and neighborhood was intended to reflect the roaring 20’s thriving economy. Unfortunately, the climate of the late 1920’s scuttled plans to develop the entire neighborhood in the same form and fashion of hacienda style homes. This jewel of a property is an absolute experience and is the last conserved home that has all the up to date amenities and creature comforts above and beyond expectations. The more time you spend in the scenery watching the world renowned birds migrating from Canada to Mexico you’ll see why this place is magical.
Guest access
Full access to the rear 1.2 acres in the back of the house, pool, hot tub, pool house and front resaca, perfect for small weddings, baby showers, and baptisms. You will be able to secure your guests cars by making use of the private and gated area in the back of the property.
