If you wish to get away from it all, this property is for you. I liked the close proximity to Big Bald Mountain that you can easily get to by the parking lot up the road which after a short hike you can access the AT. The property is very safe because there is a gate keeper upon entering Wolf Laurel. Many homes appear to be vacation homes for the rich and famous. There are some incredibly beautiful homes in Wolf Laurel. The inconvenience's? Bring your food supplies! The nearest grocery store that I found was in Mars Hill about a 30 minute drive. I couldn't find a bar close by to watch The Master's so I relied on the TV at the rental but this didn't work out too well because I couldn't figure out how to find CBS. I'm sure it was available so leave that to my daftness. The propane tank was missing from the outdoor grill, maybe some neighbor borrowed it? All and all I would easily return to this home. The owner communicated well and everything worked as described. Also, the kitchen was well stocked with most spices and all the utility ware for any discernable cook. Cheers

Winter Escape

We wanted to get a dose of winter for the weekend and this was our second stay at this place. The home was lovely with an amazing yard and view. A quiet getaway and we will be coming back.

Lovely Cabin

This was our ‘overflow’ cabin for a family gathering at my nearby home. My adult kids were quite happy with the cabin. I’d recommend this spot highly…

Great location, great place/amenities, great owner.

The house has a great layout and link to its site. The location is great and the link to the AT is close (about 1.5 miles up Big Bald). I had an early autumn stay so the mountain colors were just starting, but still fantastic. All around....wonderful!

I live in nearby Asheville, North Carolina. I love being active and outdoors: hiking, playing volleyball, running. Knowing that this cabin is helping people gain access to the Pisgah National Forest is very special to me. The peace of being in Wolf Laurel is wonderful.
