The bunkhouse was clean and cozy, making us feel right at home. The air conditioner worked great and kept the space at a perfect temperature. They even let us enjoy some of the ripe grapefruit and oranges from the tree outside, and told us about a nearby nest of newly hatched owlets we could watch- such a special touch!
Lou and Ozzie have created an oasis in the desert and I loved it! It was very close to all of the family that I have in the area and it was so clean and so welcoming. I cannot wait to return!
The Bunkhouse met all our needs! It is nicely appointed, and the hosts have included lots of special touches so that we felt like we were at home. The air conditioning and outdoor pool were must haves in the unseasonably hot weather we experienced! If we are in the Tucson area again, we will definitely book the Bunkhouse!
Hosts Lou and Ozzie are wonderful, the setting is quiet and perfectly situated for hiking in Saguaro National Park, and the Bunkhouse is cozy. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our stay in the bunkhouse! We loved that it was quiet & the fresh orange & grapefruit were a bonus! Even though the pool wasn’t heated we enjoyed it during the 90 degree days. Also enjoyed hearing the owl at night. Having access to a washer & dryer was nice after all our hiking.
We loved how close the house was to Saguaro National Park where we did lots of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking but ate all of our meals out with the many Mexican food trucks in the area. Loved picking oranges & grapefruit off the trees in the yard for afternoon snacks. Lou & Oz were such welcoming, kind people & have the bunkhouse decorated so cute! The pool in their backyard was so beautiful & wonderful to relax in & by after mornings hiking. So nice of them to share that gem with their guests! Nice front porch on the bunkhouse to relax on & enjoy the sunsets!! Would highly recommend this place!!
Great place to stay! Lou and Oz greeted us with a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Th e bunkhouse was immaculate and very comfortable. The grounds were lovely and inviting to birds, bunnies and other critters. I would highly recommend the bunkhouse!
The Bunkhouse was great! Very comfortable and a fabulous location. It was a short hiking trip for us. The bed was comfortable and the whole place clean. We would return and highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the bunkhouse. Our hosts welcomed us when we arrived with kindness and cheer (after Christmas stay). As many guests already mentioned, everything in the bunkhouse is top clean and perfectly organized. Lou and Ozzie possess a wealth of knowledge on plants and animals and we would have loved more time at the property.
Everything was so clean with great amenities. It's a very warm and inviting place. Ozzy and Lou came to welcome us. They're great! Our favorite part was sitting on the deck. Very peaceful and relaxing. The location is great since it's right off the main road, however, it felt like we were far away from it with all of the space and privacy that's found on the property. Would definitely stay here again!!
The property is exceptionally well-kept. The landscaping is beautiful and the living quarters are just right for a single guest or a couple. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and have thought of just about everything a guest could need or want. The property is well-supplied with every necessity and there is a good selection of books, movies and even puzzles. If you’re looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay, I highly recommend the Bunkhouse!
This was our 2nd stay at the Bunkhouse this year. Everything about it is 5-star excellent!! We highly recommend it.

Longtime Tucson residents that love desert living and the outdoors. Ozzie moved here 19 years ago from the east coast and would not trade living in the desert for anywhere else. I simply love it here.
