Michigan City is home to this apartment. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Indiana Dunes National Park and Lake Michigan. Cleveland Park and Lubeznik Center for the Arts are also worth visiting.
It was amazing and close by the dunes for our National Park and hiking day. Nice area with lots of restaurants around, and the place was super clean and cozy!
gorgeous! even cuter and cozier inside then the listing. perfect amount of space if you’re planning on doing a lot of activities, and the tv and bathroom were super nice.
This was a perfect space for myself and my daughter to have a brief getaway. Communication was prompt and clear, and the listing is accurate! Thanks for a great experience!
The studio was very clean, modern and comfortable. There were a few unfinished details which was expected from the description, but nothing that really negatively affected our 2 nights.
We saw the lovely and stunningly remodeled studio and had checked in for a Dunes visit (my son and I), but extenuating family issues unfortunately preempted our trip. After contacting the host, Justin, he was very understanding and empathetic. We definitely plan on staying again when our family health issues mitigate or fully resolve. Once again, great host and studio!! 5 stars!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The property was clean, modern, and private. The location was great. Justin was friendly and responsive when I messaged him.
As he mentioned in his listing, there are still some renovations underway, but I happily overlooked those because of the great price.

The inside of the unit was very good. However, the entrance was very dark and we needed a flashlight to see to open the unit door. The lock on the outside door was so poor that we needed help to get it open. Good thing a neighbor was there who knew the mechanism pattern.this will be a much better place to stay when the inside steps have a railing and the lighting is improved.
Overall, the house itself was wonderful for our family and it was exactly what we needed. We did not like the fact that we felt as if the property grounds were not well kept. We wanted to enjoy the fire fit but the grass had not been cut in sometime. I did reach out to the property manager and they did quickly get back to me about someone coming out but it was raining the few days that we were there.

Hi Jocelynn, thanks for your review, but I am a little confused for a few reasons:
1-You were only there for one night (Not a "few" as you had indicated)
2-I don't have a fire pit on the property
3-I was never notified of any issues with the "property grounds"
Are you sure you are reviewing the correct property? As Hosts, we value your feedback as long as it is accurate and true to the property.
Well done, updated space perfect for two people. We were driving through the area on our way to Chicago, and we had advice from a friend to stop and check out Indiana Dunes National Park. It was underwhelming and not really worth it. I thought with it being a national park, we would experience outdoorsy activities, but it's really just a sandy lakefront beach or hiking trails amidst industry. I picked the house based on being close to a kayak rental place that ended up being closed, and we wanted to try Royale With Cheese, a burger joint that was also closed - there's not much else in Michigan City. If you need to be in Michigan City, this rental is great, just know the town itself doesn't seem to be much of a destination. Finding the right door was a little tricky, but it's in the back of the building and all directions to getting in are provided in the booking details. It was awesome to have a washer/dryer and the rain shower head is a nice touch. There were a few things I contacted the owner about, and he was very responsive.
Unfortunately the rental wasn't properly cleaned before we arrived so the dishes were in the dishwasher from the previous guest and the shower floor was very dirty. The property manager was very helpful with allowing an early check in and late checkout. He was easy to reach with any questions. The only thing that was a real problem for my husband and I was that the AC only cools down to far and then won't go down any further so we were both hot and sweating throughout the night. We just threw the blanket off the bed so that we could get cool enough to sleep. The bed itself was comfortable. Overall I would recommend this rental.

Nice place but things are a little off
This place is still undergoing renovations which is mentioned, and would probably impact my rating more if it wasn’t mentioned. I didn’t received anything from Vrbo before we arrived on site but the property owner was quick to respond and great. This weekend was originally planned to just be my partner and I, but we had to end up taking the kids last minute. The shower was impossible to keep from getting everywhere you can tell this is a problem as there’s water damage on the wall and the curtain is stained from the water. The dining table is way too big for the space. The bathroom door is about an inch or two off from closing the right way so while the place is nice and updated to looking appealing everything is just a little bit wonky. Overall we had a good stay for a decent central location and the parking in the back was great. Thanks Justin.
