About this property

Baywood has been recently renovated with new flooring, interior & exterior paint, a new fence for you & your furbabies, as well as furniture additions! This home is a beautifully constructed 2 bedroom, 2 bath soundfront piece of heaven. Included with your rental are 2 beachcruisers, tandem kayak, and a canoe you can launch from the property. An outside shower is available as well as a gas grill, firepit, & a dock. My romantic soundfront home is an excellent choice to vacation with its proximity to shopping, restaurants, arts, sightseeing, laser tag, boating, fishing, bird watching, jet skiing, surfing, kite boarding & eco tours.

Baywood is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, surrounded by bike & walking paths and less than a mile from the beach. Bring your boat, Dock Street boat launch is 1/10 of a mile from our home. While the house is soundfront, the tidal range (water depth) only permits canoeing and kayaking directly from the property.

There is a fully equipped eat in kitchen which includes dishes, cookware, cutlery, barware, & glassware for your every culinary need. Appliances include a blender, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, gas range & oven, toaster oven, & refrigerator/freezer with ice & water in the door.

Your options are endless with the many surrounding islands in the sound.

I want you to have a relaxing getaway in my Outer Banks home! Check-out time is 10 am and departure instructions are included in your welcome letter and are also in the guestbook binder located in my home. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow them the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.

Home with a view!

This is a beautiful property on the bay. Home is right on the water and the sunsets were spectacular. We had plenty of room for the four of us and had everything we needed. Home is located in a quiet area and great for walking with a wide sidewalk. Home is central to all OBX has to offer with plenty of stores, restaurants, and beaches. Back deck and patio are great places to catch the afternoon sun!

Spring Getaway

Baywood exceeded our expectations. The home was incredibly comfortable, it was stocked with all that we needed to enjoy our vacation, it was clean and so tastefully decorated, Ron was most hospitable and easy to reach, the location of the property was so convenient to a multi-use path that was great to walk and the view from the property was beautiful with the sunsets at night being unbelievable. We likewise really enjoyed watching a mated pair of osprey at a nest visible from the house. Baywood made our trip so positively memorable and my family and I look forward to staying at this wonderful property again as we make our way back to the Outer Banks.

Post Hurricane Paradise

What an incredible stay with Ron's property, "Baywood"! We had an absolute blast staying here. The home was so clean and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with appliances and the home had so many cool touches. We happened to be visiting with some cool lunar activity and the telescopes were such a cool touch! We loved the access to the sound, the kayak and canoe. Conversely we also took advantage of the convenience of the bike path and bikes provided! We spent hours on the deck in the sun and loved soaking up the last days of summer before returning to reality. We also love homes where we get to include our dog and Ron's home embraces our four legged family members. We would love to stay again!
