Blissful

We were looking for peace and quiet and Les Chagnasses was the perfect place for this - we loved everything about it. The accommodation was beautiful and had everything we needed to cater for ourselves and sleep really well. Mike and Claire have thought of everything and made this a really special place. We had a heat wave during our stay, but there were so many places to sit in the shade (or the sun) that we were perfectly comfortable. The pool is lovely and the view from there is gorgeous, the wood behind the stables is a beautiful place to relax and feel at one with nature. We loved having our own bar and pool house and enjoyed meeting the hens and listening to their chatter. A magical place.

Calme sérénité

Gîte exceptionnel pour un couple qui veut profiter à tout moment d être en tête à tête. Endroit vraiment bien conçu pour que l’on se sente à l’aise, dans un cadre idyllique. Claire et Mike sont disponibles mais très très discrets. Un plus non négligeable : leur panier d’accueil plus que généreux et attentionné pour le commencement de très belles vacances.

A superb holiday experience

Les Chagnasses is wonderful; everything has been considered to provide all that will make a lovely, relaxing, and very special holiday. It is immaculately and beautifully presented, with taste and great style. It is perfect; we are booking again for next year.

Mike & Claire look forward to showing you around your very own piece of French countryside, with only fields, woods and farmyards as far as the eye can see.

Why they chose this property

We have escaped to the country and bought an old farmstead which we are looking forward to sharing with like-minded nature lovers.
We have taken time to tastefully restore the old stable block into a beautiful gîte, sleeping two adults, plus a games room and an indoor/outdoor eating area.
When we purchased the property, we adopted some ducks, hens and rabbits - our two legged friends have a section of our garden each.
Our rabbits have a hutch in the vegetable patch and you may just catch a glimpse of them jumping around, in the early morning or evening.
Our house and garden have been carefully separated from the guest areas, so you will have complete privacy around the pool, in the gardens and in Le Rodin bar.

What makes this property unique

The Stables gîte offers you a home from home, with all the amenities you need to switch off and enjoy your holiday.
You will have a private garden with benches and picnic tables to enjoy alfresco meals and wonderful views.
There's an insect friendly field, and small wood to explore.
We have petanque, darts and ping pong, plus various board games, books and CD's to keep you entertained.
Plus your very own cinema room with projector and choice of DVD's.
A bar just for you ( bring your own drinks and snacks ) with indoor and outdoor seating.
The salt water swimming pool is open 10am to 10pm, weather permitting.
The poolside lounge offers some lovely views and an extra space to enjoy meals and downtime. You'll also find another fridge freezer, a microwave and coffee making facilities, so you can decamp to the lounge and spend your day relaxing by the pool.
