Palmetto at Grande Bay is a luxury condo located in the heart of St. John at Cruz Bay. Built in 2008, now with new owners, new updates! Just steps from the passenger ferry, great restaurants, shops and entertainment on St. John. Walk or hike to many of St. John's 37 best beaches. Go snorkeling or diving from any of the nearby dive shops, or charter a boat to visit any of the innumerable reefs, islands, cays, or beaches around the US and British Virgin Islands.

Palmetto at Grande Bay is fully air conditioned with three bedrooms and two full baths. Accommodations include two King beds, two twins convertible to a King, and a Queen foldout couch for a maximum occupancy of 8 adults. The beds have high thread count linens with hypoallergenic mattress covers. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan with overhead lighting, a large closet with a safe, and a tv. The fully equipped kitchen has all stainless appliances, granite counter-tops, and a wrap around bar ledge. There are four counter stools and a 6-8 person glass dining table.

Amazing views from the kitchen, dining area, family room, master bedroom. New family room TV with DVD/iPod/Stereo player. Dine alfresco on the patio/veranda area that is equipped with ceiling fan. The main balcony has a second private entry from the master bedroom via a wrap-around veranda. A second open balcony with tropical island feel is accessed from the 2nd King Guest room. Reserved covered parking spot with elevator access to your condo. The resort includes a beautiful sun deck and pool and with in-pool surround seating and hot tub. Fitness room with TV treadmills, and other workout equipment overlooking Cruz Bay so you can watch boats cruise in and out of the harbor!

On arrival, you will be welcomed at the ferry dock by our greeter who will walk you to the resort, show you the facilities, and get you situated in your condo. Inquire about additional concierge, pre-stocking of food, and other services that are available for an additional charge.

Get ready to look out across the turquoise water, immerse yourself in the dazzling sunshine. During the day, sunbathe on the pool deck just steps from your door, cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool, relax at any of the many beaches, or go hiking or exploring into the unspoiled National Park that covers 2/3 of the island. At nighttime, take an easy walk to any of the many bars and restaurants, shop for island jewelry, or seek a little more action in the nearby casino. Then, just a short evening stroll back to Palmetto at Grande Bay!

Palmetto at Grande Bay was perfect for our family. There was enough room to accommodate our family of five with three teenagers. Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and floats were also available. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops.

Excellent location and stay!

We loved our stay at Palmetto at Grande Bay. The place was very spacious and clean. It’s conveniently located to walk to restaurants, the ferry and the taxis to the beaches. The covered porches were amazing in the AM and winding down on the PM. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic place

We absolutely loved this place. It had everything that you needed in a great location. We rented a jeep while we were there and they provided coolers, beach towels,, and floats for the beach. The view from the balcony for morning coffee was spectacular. We definitely will be back!

Literally the best view

Perfect view . Great amenities. Elevator access.Nice soaps. Could use new pillows and a shade to keep out the nextdoor condo light that shines right in guest bedroom all night. Would stay here again.

Layout of condo was perfect for family of 4. Balcony and view is prettier in person. Steps to Cruz bay. Property manager is super accessible and accommodating. Kitchen is really well stocked- including dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, ninja blender.

Perfect location, perfect amenities, and absolutely perfect views! Our favorite parts were eating breakfast on the balcony while watching the various boats come in and watching the sunset each evening over St Thomas. You will not regret booking this perfect condo!

Perfect Holiday Getaway

The location was perfect with stunning views of Cruz Bay. Just a few minutes walk and you're at Beach Bar or Woody's. The property was the perfect size for our family of 5. The only tricky thing was parking the jeep in that tight spot but there's nothing that can be done to resolve that. Overall, a great stay and will definitely be back!

Snorkeling and Beach time

My family and our children’s friends came to the Island for some snorkeling and beach enjoyment. We were a group of 7. Location was perfect for everyone to walk into Cruz Bay for dinner and cocktails. It was close enough to go back and forth easily. The condo was very clean and comfortable.

Great location

We have stayed a Grande Bay before, first time at Palmetto. Condo was well equipped, beach chairs and coolers were very nice and not cheap and falling apart, location was great to walk into town. My ONLY “suggestion” would be to replace all the mattresses. They were not terrible, but could used to be replaced.

Wonderful condo and awesome location

We stayed with our 3 adult children and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful amenities including the beach chairs, coolers and a wonderful kitchen (missing a can opener but otherwise all needed items for cooking amazing meals). This was our second stay in Jim's condo and we would definitely return. Such an easy walk to town. The parking spot is a bit tricky but gets easier with each try. Highly recommend!

Fabulous condo with gorgeous sunset view

This is our 2nd stay at this 3 bedroom/2 bath condo. It fit our needs perfectly. Having a assigned parking spot and locker storage with beach gear was a great help. The kitchen had all of the pans and dishes we needed. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Cruz Bay and walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping and the ferry.

Great location and view

Overall, the stay was amazing. The condo was well stocked and very clean. The unit came with plenty of beach chairs, coolers, etc. The views were incredible. The listing showed a room with 2 twin beds and ended up being all kings. This worked for our family, just a heads up for other renters if the listing is not updated.

This condo is beautiful, larger than the pictures appear, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to and from all restaurants and the ferry docks in Cruz Bay with children (ages 8 and 11). Communication with the kind owner and helpful property manager made an easy trip to prepare for and simple check in/check out process. The beds are very comfortable and one of us has a bad back. The only suggestion would be to add black out curtains. Amazon has some attractive and inexpensive ones. While the blinds are very pretty, they do not keep out the early morning sunshine. Wonderful view, condo, and location. We are already planning our return!

Grande Bay Palmetto

This condo was so well stocked. I packed extra kitchen necessities because every other time I have rented in Grande Bay, I would have to buy on island. Palmetto had extra toilet paper, paper towels. It had dishwash soap, spices lots of things you don't think of bringing. I have an Oceanfront VRBO myself and I stock it with convivence items also. I was overjoyed when we checked in and this condo had all the thoughtful extras. This was my 3rd trip to St John and this is by far the best condo Ive stayed in. I will be back.

Wonderful 3 bedroom condo!

This condo was just perfect for our family vacation. The view from balcony was great, overlooking Cruz Bay and out over St Thomas. Well equipped kitchen with blender and all the cooking tools we needed. We used the electric grill out on balcony for steaks, burgers and hotdogs. Beds were comfortable and washer & dryer kept our provided beach towels clean. Being so close to town and all the bars and restaurants was a plus. We used the beach chairs and coolers for our beach adventures. We rented a car for part of the week going to beaches and up to Windmill Bar for sunset. Parking is tight in the garage but manageable. Hoping to come back to Palmetto at Grande Bay ….it was awesome!

We loved this property and will stay here again. Check in was super easy. Parking is easily marked. Tip on parking though, there are concrete columns everywhere so make sure whomever is driving is comfortable in tight(er) places. We didn't use the kitchen, but there are plenty of supplies and amenities. The location is awesome! We like the nightlife and Drink! was an easy walk once we figured out the bottom elevator trick. The beds are comfortable, A/C is cold. What more does anyone need?

Great Views and Super Convenient

We had 5 adults in our party including one who was celebrating her 80th birthday. This condo checked all the boxes we needed for everyone. Most importantly, elevators that easily get you to street level and from there everything Cruz Bay has to offer is an easy 10 minute walk (even for an 80 year old). Having stayed multiple times on St John in various locations, it was so nice not to have to drive and find parking any time anyone wanted to pop into town. We really enjoyed the sunrise/sunset views from the balcony and watching the boating activity of Cruz Bay. The condo is as advertised on the website. The property management was on point, very helpful and responsive. Our 9 night stay was simply the best we’ve had on the island.

Wedding celebration

We traveled with 75 family and friends to celebrate our best friends wedding. Palmetto at Grande Bay was absolutely perfect! Everyone could walk to and from town, kids could go off on their own, the location is perfect and beautiful. The condos are spotless and have everything you need. We loved our stay at Grande Bay!

Jim, Sue, and kids are a family of six from Michigan. To get away from the cold, we head south in the winter, and what better place than to St. John - paradise in the US! We love the island so much that we decided to buy a hassle-free condo at Grande Bay! With kids still around at home we can't be down there all the time, so we make it available to others - to you!

Why they chose this property

We have stayed at villas outside of Cruz Bay around the island, but nothing beats being right in town - gorgeous views over the harbor and over to St. Thomas, walk to the ferry, shops, restaurants, churches, taxis that take you all over the island. No car needed, but if you want one, it's just a walk to the rental agency with your own private covered parking below your unit. The location allows us to go to quiet, remote beaches by car or taxi anytime we want, yet not be stuck for a week in one remote villa from which you have to drive to go anywhere.

What makes this property unique

Our unit has the best views. We are in the upper building at Grande Bay away from street level so you are not too close to the bars and too obstructed in view by power lines, but high enough to see over the lower building, and with more space than higher level condos. Plus, a sweeping corner balcony that juts out for an unobstructed panoramic view that spans from overlooking the Cruz Bay shops, to across the harbor, over the pool, and towards the ocean and St. Thomas beyond it.
