Palmetto at Grande Bay is a luxury condo located in the heart of St. John at Cruz Bay. Built in 2008, now with new owners, new updates! Just steps from the passenger ferry, great restaurants, shops and entertainment on St. John. Walk or hike to many of St. John's 37 best beaches. Go snorkeling or diving from any of the nearby dive shops, or charter a boat to visit any of the innumerable reefs, islands, cays, or beaches around the US and British Virgin Islands.

Palmetto at Grande Bay is fully air conditioned with three bedrooms and two full baths. Accommodations include two King beds, two twins convertible to a King, and a Queen foldout couch for a maximum occupancy of 8 adults. The beds have high thread count linens with hypoallergenic mattress covers. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan with overhead lighting, a large closet with a safe, and a tv. The fully equipped kitchen has all stainless appliances, granite counter-tops, and a wrap around bar ledge. There are four counter stools and a 6-8 person glass dining table.

Amazing views from the kitchen, dining area, family room, master bedroom. New family room TV with DVD/iPod/Stereo player. Dine alfresco on the patio/veranda area that is equipped with ceiling fan. The main balcony has a second private entry from the master bedroom via a wrap-around veranda. A second open balcony with tropical island feel is accessed from the 2nd King Guest room. Reserved covered parking spot with elevator access to your condo. The resort includes a beautiful sun deck and pool and with in-pool surround seating and hot tub. Fitness room with TV treadmills, and other workout equipment overlooking Cruz Bay so you can watch boats cruise in and out of the harbor!

On arrival, you will be welcomed at the ferry dock by our greeter who will walk you to the resort, show you the facilities, and get you situated in your condo. Inquire about additional concierge, pre-stocking of food, and other services that are available for an additional charge.

Get ready to look out across the turquoise water, immerse yourself in the dazzling sunshine. During the day, sunbathe on the pool deck just steps from your door, cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool, relax at any of the many beaches, or go hiking or exploring into the unspoiled National Park that covers 2/3 of the island. At nighttime, take an easy walk to any of the many bars and restaurants, shop for island jewelry, or seek a little more action in the nearby casino. Then, just a short evening stroll back to Palmetto at Grande Bay!

Palmetto at Grande Bay was perfect for our family. There was enough room to accommodate our family of five with three teenagers. Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and floats were also available. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops.

We loved this property and will stay here again. Check in was super easy. Parking is easily marked. Tip on parking though, there are concrete columns everywhere so make sure whomever is driving is comfortable in tight(er) places. We didn't use the kitchen, but there are plenty of supplies and amenities. The location is awesome! We like the nightlife and Drink! was an easy walk once we figured out the bottom elevator trick. The beds are comfortable, A/C is cold. What more does anyone need?

We absolutely loved this place. It had everything that you needed in a great location. We rented a jeep while we were there and they provided coolers, beach towels,, and floats for the beach. The view from the balcony for morning coffee was spectacular. We definitely will be back!

Jim, Sue, and kids are a family of six from Michigan. To get away from the cold, we head south in the winter, and what better place than to St. John - paradise in the US! We love the island so much that we decided to buy a hassle-free condo at Grande Bay! With kids still around at home we can't be down there all the time, so we make it available to others - to you!

Why they chose this property

We have stayed at villas outside of Cruz Bay around the island, but nothing beats being right in town - gorgeous views over the harbor and over to St. Thomas, walk to the ferry, shops, restaurants, churches, taxis that take you all over the island. No car needed, but if you want one, it's just a walk to the rental agency with your own private covered parking below your unit. The location allows us to go to quiet, remote beaches by car or taxi anytime we want, yet not be stuck for a week in one remote villa from which you have to drive to go anywhere.

What makes this property unique

Our unit has the best views. We are in the upper building at Grande Bay away from street level so you are not too close to the bars and too obstructed in view by power lines, but high enough to see over the lower building, and with more space than higher level condos. Plus, a sweeping corner balcony that juts out for an unobstructed panoramic view that spans from overlooking the Cruz Bay shops, to across the harbor, over the pool, and towards the ocean and St. Thomas beyond it.
