About this property

Dominica Island Home Stay - Hillside retreat, minutes from several beaches

Kai Famille is a private hillside cottage on our family’s property in Dominica, surrounded by fruit trees and tropical plants with sweeping Caribbean Sea views. A peaceful sanctuary built with love, it’s perfect to relax, recharge, and connect with nature. Enjoy breezes, birdsong, and stunning sunsets. Close to waterfalls, beaches, and local spots, yet tucked away for quiet. Ideal for couples, families, or groups with our second cottage, Kai Karma.

Kai Famille, the cottage is complete with everything you need for a magical stay on the island of Dominica. The bright and airy full kitchen is fully equipped with everything except the groceries, including a french press, water kettle, toaster oven, and all the things to cook on the gas stove. The deck is perfect for all activities including lounging, yoga, relaxation, and a swing on our macrame swing. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen size beds, comfortable mattress, sleepy pillows, and quality linens. The bathroom is also light and airy and includes a shower with a window that opens to the beautiful mountains and has access to our outdoor shower. Choose to use the a/c in the main living area or open the windows for a beautiful island breeze. Beach towels and coolers will help you prepare for adventure.

The entire home is available to you and sits on our family property. Kai Famille is private but we are here if you need anything including help picking fruit or suggestions of day trips. We can also help arrange a private chef, catered meals, and helping stock your kitchen.

If you need more space, consider renting both of our cottages: Kai Famille and Kai Karma. Inquire for more information.

We have a Subaru Crosstek that can be rented separately for $75 US dollars per day or we can recommend an island guide. We can also provide transport from/to the airport. If you require a longer rental, we can discuss rates. All drivers are required to obtain a temporary Dominica drivers license.

We have numerous fruit trees on the property, feel free to indulge while they are in season. :)

Our other cottage, Kai Karma, is available for larger groups. If you need four bedrooms, we can make this happen!

Fabulous location, stunning views, and beautifully designed and equipped home! We would return in a heartbeat! The kitchen was very well equipped, making meal preparation very easy; the outdoor shower is a great feature, the patio with very comfortable seating lovely and the home overall very clean and comfortable. The location is fabulous - close to town and beaches, but in a quiet and lovely neighborhood just minutes away. We were thrilled!

Definitiv einer der besten Unterkünfte auf Dominica!Ein unglaublicher schöner weiter Blick auf Natur und Meer.Völlig ungestört in kompletter Ruhe.Man sieht und hört den ganzen Tag nur die Geräusche der Natur.Das Klima ist immer angenehm, da die Villas höher gelegen sind.Die Ausstattung des und besonders die Schlafzimmer und Betten sind ein Traum.Es fehlt an nichts!Klare Empfehlung für Dominica !Wenn Dominica, dann hier!
