About this property

Best Kept Secret on the Cajun Riveria, near Holly Beach

A cozy beachfront home with a wide-open view of the Gulf of Mexico. One hour from the Golden Nugget and L Auberge casinos in Lake Charles, Louisiana, yet secluded from the busy beaches of Gulf Shores Alabama, and Galveston. This place is the best-kept secret on the Gulf! It is a perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy the scenery of birds, shrimp boats, dolphins, and the best seashells found within 50 miles, all without crowds and a beach practically all to yourself. If you prefer a bit more action and crowds with local activities or music and shopping for souvenirs, it can be found just 5 miles East at Holly Beach. Then return to your little oasis at Little Florida Beach for a restful night.
On your way back make a stop at the Library for some super interesting information about our seashells and the Creole Nature Trail.

The bird sanctuary is a plus for bird watchers or even for non watchers. The Peveto Woods houses several acres of a sanctuary for migratory birds. The photos I've posted of some of these gorgeous birds are a courtesy of our neighbor who is an avid bird watcher. Take a stroll down the paths and spend some time in Nature and in solitude, especially in fall and spring.

Fishing is always available in multiple areas, whether it is surf fishing or launching your own boat, or taking a guided fishing trip. Crabbing is also always fun for the family. Crab Traps are provided downstairs. A short walk out to the rocks will guarantee a crab catch of blue gulf crabs for dinner. The local Bayou Convenience Store has bait as well as all the beach supplies that you may have forgotten at home. No worries, it's the best little Walmart and only 5 miles away.
It offers great fast food in their nice clean kitchen and even an "eat in area" with small dining tables to enjoy pizza, hamburgers, sausage, and even breakfast sandwiches.

The sunsets are breathtaking and can be enjoyed on the deck with a glass of wine in comfortable deck chairs.

The small community of 25 homes has some of the friendliest neighbors including our next-door neighbors. Open floor plan with 6 windows to enjoy the view of the beach while eating at the large table for 8 or from the living room while lounging in cozy comfortable chairs, sofa, and love seat. This 3-bedroom home offers 2 queen beds with comfy new mattresses, one double bed, and a twin Tempur-Pedic. Two full baths, one with tub and one with a stand-up shower and a half bath downstairs helps to accommodate up to 7 adults.

Enjoy our Roku TV. with your own Netflix account login and Prime login.

A grill and charcoal are provided downstairs for those who prefer cooking their own burgers, steaks, fish etc. A large stainless-steel table and sink downstairs makes cleaning your fish and or crabs so much easier. The kitchen is stocked with large gumbo pots for boiling shrimp or crabs.

You will not be disappointed with this cozy, clean, well decorated beach cottage. You are only steps away from putting your toes in the sand or letting the kids run wild in a very safe environment while you watch them from the comfortable deck chairs.

The cleaning fee is 75.00 if less than a week and 100.00 for a full 7 days .

Why they chose this property

This remote area has a little "best kept secret" with about 25 beach homes just an hour away from Lake Charles, Louisiana and the famous casinos, Golden Nugget and La' Baurge.
It is the most peaceful place to enjoy relaxation, reading, bird watching, fishing, swimming etc.

What makes this property unique

We have the best views from our deck of sunsets, early morning dolphins, birds and shrimpers. We are just steps away from putting your toes in the sand. It's a short walk to the Peveto Bird Sanctury where in Spring and Fall migratory birds flock for a resting place. Bird watchers also flock to take photos and feed a beautiful variety of birds
